Is Jiji a dispenser of justice?

When we find ourselves in a situation in which a loved one does something that hurts us then apologizes, most of us will say "I forgive you". But does it mean that they are not held accountable for their action.

In SP we have Jiji running around trying to lay claim to the Singh property and business leaving in her wake hurt and despair. We sometimes forget that some of the people she hurt are themselves no angels.

The kalika storyline affected a number of familial relationships within the Singh family.

The father/son relationship between Brijesh, Nahar and Kakasa was attacked by Kshitij and Kalika. Kakasa forgot the relationship he had with Nahar, resulting in Nahar almost being hung for Kshitij murder. I always felt that Kakasa although everything was stack against Nahar, could have showed mercy towards Nahar. He could have asked for jail sentence rather than death by hanging. Justice is always meant to be tempered with mercy…

Kakasa made Brijesh apologize to Dheer over the poison medicine. He distrusted and treated Brijesh like an errant child. He started to listen more to Kshitij and less to Brijesh in the business. Through out everything both Nahar and Brijesh behaved with dignity and never treated Kakasa with any disrespect. They never shouted angrily or rant and rave. Despite Kakasa being sorry it was not enough. Kakasa one wish was to have his last rites done by his 'two sons' however by Jiji action Kakasa never got his wish. Dheer infact had to do these rites. Although Brijesh was there in body he was clearly out of his mind…

Tara – Though out the entire situation Tara cared more about her son than her husband. She totally disregarded Brijesh. In fact she never listened to him when he advised her on her treatment of Saloni. By Jiji action she has lost her husband as well as his love but she has her son. There's a saying you never miss the water until the well runs dry…

Dheer - Who laughed at Nahar and Brijesh's plight was lost without the two brothers. Dheer has realized the importance of the brother (I really don't think that will last). We also see that after his much insolent behaviour towards Savitri. He owes her his son life.

Saloni took Nahar for granted now she has to face life without Nahar. The same way she walked away from Nahar ( for BT's child) we see Nahar also walked away ( he did it to through his love for saloni). Despite the Amrit character- Amrit is no Nahar. In fact he is pure torture for Saloni. A reminder of what she has lost. Amrit is a father and son but no husband. The Amrit character came for Bhaboo – who has not done anything wrong. Only Saloni, Brijesh and Kakasa has had to suffer the lost and pain of loosing Nahar.

But there are individuals Jiji has affected that have done no harm. One such situation is putting the innocent child Savri life in danger…. Her ill treatment of Bhaboo.... Jiji is no angel herself and so someone will have to dispense justice to Jiji...

no justice will be dispensed in the real sense and she will pop back . where was justice ever dispensed to kaveri's character in SP ? Just like Jiji , Kaveri has hurt many many innocent people in her obsessive quest for a so called personal revenge . The many school children she poisoned while trying to frame Ambika , Nikita who holds no value for her once her daughter arrived , her recent treatment of Sawri , infact , jiji has escaped twice coz of her alone and wreaked havoc on innocents. Kaveri allowed Jiji to escape and the result is there for everyone to see .

SP in a sense gives us a real lesson inspite of the highly fantastic story tracks it conocts , that justice is not dispensed to evil people necessarily in this world . No one can control Jiji or Kaeri , they r uncontrollable women . No one cud control Kalika either , she finally gave herself up when she realised her revenge had been baseless .
SP deals with real social issues........color discrimination , caste discrimination [ SAwri thing ] , and confirms hometruths like the fact that villains often go scot free . Only the story tracks r highly ovver imaginative and unreal . Rest all , in a sense , is real .

I have to agree with you because to me justice always appear to be inflict ony on the good people. You are right bad people are not always punish in reaity. However, the only person I felt was truly punish was Kakisa - through her own action. I feel that's one of the greatest flaw of SP is no follow through. As you pointed out Kaveri is a perfect example - she was close to lossing everything to Ginni and they did not complete it. Which would have been the perfect punishment for her but the writers have further mess up the storyline by now letting her actually have a child of her own. To me its now a no-win situation for either child. I remember Samar being very unhappy when Kaveri found out she was pregnant because he felt she wouldn't love Nikita as her own. His fears have now realize. Nikita by all accounts is going to be treated as a 2nd class citizen by Kaveri and her child if Samar stays with Kaveri. However, if Samar leaves Kaveri, Kamini will now be fatherless and kaveri will most like turn the child against Samar. But she deserves to be punish..

Does evil people have any values or any moral compass? Do they judge themselves or any concept of what is right or wrong?

Don't forget, Jiji killed 5 people. Aditi, Nahar, Dr. Varun, Kakasa and that nurse. Fine, whatever the Singh household did, it happened. But no one deserved to die by anyone's hand. Jiji's punishment ultimately should be death by the hands of Amrit and Saloni. Even the court cannot do anything to keep her in jail without her running away to cause more havoc again with the Singh household. Tara's behavior was bad but Jiji is just an awful person which is why she does not have her first husband or her kids from her first husband. BTW, how come they don't show that story track of WHY exactly did she leave him and her kids in the first place.
Kaveri will never be punished. She does not learn any lessons because she simply does not care. Unfortunately, there are people like her in this world who continue on with their bad deeds but never receive any punishments and if they do, they still don't learn. It's like, Kaveri is just blind.

Dont know if Jiji is really going to get the punishment for all the crime she has done, or again she is going to win by putting saloni to rags which we expect after the leap
& thats not far now. so I think jiji will take away the property and send saloni to poverty while amrit goes away to his ashram
