Turbulent wind was shaking trees and anything that was coming on its way, with one strong gust of wind the photo frame on the wall near the window fell on the floor shattering its glasses in small pieces. That sound brought Nikki out of her dream. She opened her eyes and she flustered looking around her. She was devastated and agitated seeing no body around her. She was in confusion about the situation she has witnessed moment ago. Frantically, her eyes were searching something in her room.

She looked towards the door but she realised that while coming into the room she closed door behind her back the same way she had shut all the doors that leads to her heart. She made sure no body could intrude in her suffering and her loneliness. However, there was someone who always knocked on those doors and the moment she hear that knock she start feeling restless. She set on her bed. When she did not find anything or anyone around her she realised that it was merely a dream that broke the moment she opened her eyes and embrace the reality. Because dreams are meant to be broken the moment you enter the door of reality. Her dream also shattered and spread in all direction the way right now token of her memories had been lying on her bed.

She could hear only whizzing sound of wind. It felt like that just now one thunder had passed from there leaving it's destruction behind it.

Suddenly her eyes fell on the wall clock, the union of two hands in clock reminded her about yura in rani's room in each other's arms. The moment she remembered that her heart lost a beat. It was 3:15 in early morning and only few hours remained in morning. Yudi was still in rani;s room and she had to wake him up and sent him to his room before anyone come to know about his presence in rani's room. if anyone come to know about yura then indeed tufaan will destroy everything in palace, nikki thought.

Soch ke bhi dar ke mare oos ke ronghte khade ho gaye'apni yaado ko aise hi bistar par bikhari rahene di oos ne aur apne aanshoo pochh kar chal padi woh rani ke kamare ki aur'''.

Rani ke kamare main '''.rani ko apni baahon main lekar ooski yaado main kho kar kab yudi ki aankhe lag gayi oose pataa bhi naa chalaa.

After few hours he felt that rani in her delirium called his name and that faint voice stirred him from his sleep. Slowly he opened his eyes and looked at rani who was peacefully sleeping in his arm. The room was dark. It was illuminated only by the moonlight streaming through the window. In dim shades of moonlight rani's bloodless face was looking very white and pale.

However, yudi could not lift his eyes from that innocent face. He touched her face gently he felt few drops of perspiration had been formed on rani's forehead. Slowly yudi stood up from his place and kept rani's head on cushion very carefully so she does not wake up. He turned on lamp and took towel from side table and wiped her face. He felt rani was looking like angle in her sleep oblivious of the world around her obviously lost in her dream world. And seeing her blissful face yudi thought she must be dreaming about him. That thought brought contented smile on yudi's face.

He saw his watch and he realised that in couple of hour sun will spread his golden rays and everyone will wake up and continue their life from the point they have stopped last day. He did not fell like going away from there because his desire to accompany rani all the time forcing him to stay with rani but he had to follow few rules and for that he had to go back to his room. Though he did not want rani to leave alone so he thought before going to his room he will inform Nikki and will request her to come and sit with rani. while thinking that he wore his shirt, shocks and shoes and went towards the door.

Aur jaise hi oos ne darvaajaa kholaa nikki ko saamne paayaa

Nikki reached to rani's room but she was in dilemma whether she should knock the door or not. Her hand was trembling. In that confusion she was rooted out side rani's room. the same moment yudi opened the door and he was surprised seeing nikki there.

Yudi: nikki''aap yahaa

Nikki: ji bhaiya hum abhi aaye aapko'.woh..

The moment nikki enter the room yudi closed the door again. Nikki from corner of her eyes looked at the bed where rani was sleeping peacefully. Nikki did not understand what her eyes were looking for, was she trying to figure out what could have happened last night though she had full trust on her brother.

Yudi: hum aapko hi bulaa ne ke liye aa rahe the'.

Nikki was worried thinking that still rani was not all right.

Nikki: rani'theek hain naa bhaiya?

Yudi: ji haa who theek hain''..aur lagtaa hain oonkaa bukhar bhi ootar gayaa hain

Yudi ardently looked at rani and the more he was looking at her the more his desire to be with her was increasing. He felt stinging bow in his heart thinking he had to leave rani and god knows when he will be able to meet her again.

Nikki: bhaiya aap theek hain naa'''

Nikki was fumbling and looking for words to put her concern in words but she was feeling conscious. Yudi understood her dilemma though he was also shaken thinking how will he reveal to rani about this night though he did not have done anything wrong but what if rani might misunderstand the entire situation. His mind was racing with wild thoughts but he kept valiant expression on his face and tried to wash off nikki's worries.

Yudi: nikki ''.hum aapki baat samaj rahe hain aap rani ki chintaa mat kijiye ees raat ke bare main hum khud oonse baat karenge''..aur hume yakin hain humaare pyaar par who humaari baat samajegi

Yudi understood the sensitivity of the situation, he went near rani's bed and caress her soft and innocent face and arrange few stray strands of hair . he bent and gently kissed her forehead and immediately went near door but again he stopped in his way and turned towards nikki.

Yudi: nikki humaari rani kaa khayaal rakhiye gaa aapke bharose hum chhod kar jaa rahe hain '.aur hum jaante hain shayad hum oose milne ke liye nahi aa paaye. lekin aap oon ke paas rahengi to hume tasalli rahengi''.

In that split second, Nikki envied rani because rani had person like yudi in her life that could do anything for her, but the same moment she felt proud on her brother for his unconditional love for rani.

When yudi went out of the room, Sukhiya who was still there keeping watch all the time felt relieved. Jaise shivji ke mandir ke bahaar ooska gan nandi chauki karta hain oosi prakaar aaj sukhiyaa ne saaree rat aankho main hi kaat li bina palak japkaae

He kept watching that no body come around that place and if any emergency arise he could act immediately to save yudi.

Nikki covered rani's body properly and check her temperature and she was relieved that rani did not have any fever now. She set on sofa and she was completely absorbed in her thoughts about this night and the entire incident took place in that night. It felt like the movie was running in her memory. She could understand yudi's dilemma that how to unfold this matter to rani. She was thinking about her own mental status and how devastated she felt thinking about her and saksh. She was still trying to calm down and compose herself. She was almost at verge of breaking down, she felt luckily that was dream if in reality saksh would have come in front of her during that moment she would have reacted the same way she had in her dream.

Yudi went to his room and set on his reclining chair. Something within him was troubling him. He was feeling anxious. His mind was distressed thinking about those events that took place during night. It was not like that he was regretting for whatever he did for rani or feeling guilty. However he had lost his peace of mind. There were many threads of his thoughts had been entangled and he was trying hard to untangle them. He looked outside the window it was very dark. He was unable to understand whether this darkness was after the night or it was before the morning. He felt same kind of darkness inside him but he was sure about one thing " ki ek halki si roshni ki kiran bhi kaafi hoti hai kisi bhi andhere ko dur karne ke liye"

He was trying to collect his thoughts. While analysing his thoughts he felt somehow today while saving rani he had seen another avatar of his, that was hidden somewhere deep inside him. Today he saw the glimpse of his that hidden face. He felt the shade of his personality hidden from him was impulsive, blind by emotion, vulnerable and weak.

He recollected all the incidents took place in past where he almost on verge of loosing his self control and about to react impulsively. During those difficult times either rani or saksh had shown him right path or saved him.

He was too proud on himself that he could act like sensible person in any difficult situation and he had great control over his senses but many times his belief had proved as myth.

He felt stinging sensation because his thoughts have shaken him entirely. He realised that the moment rani will recover he will have to share about the solution he choose to save her. Abhorrence to himself, he thought he will have to share entire truth with her otherwise he will not be able to face her and would always feel guilty in front of her. He was anxious thinking would he be able to share with her about the moments where he almost lost control over his senses or might be he will tell only the part how he saved her life controlling himself?

What will rani think about him ? will she be able to trust him? one side his heart was supporting him that yes rani will trust him the way she had always done in past, but other side ooske under chhipa chore was telling him that he should not reveal entire truth to rani because rani might not come to know about those things unless he himself will tell her. however, the same moment the true lover hidden inside came forward with bravery and argue with him that if he will not confess in front of rani he will always feel guilty in front of her and think himself as culprit. Though he has not done any crime but hiding half truth automatically he will become criminal and the moment rani will know bits of this matter she will lost trust and confidence in him. so it was advisable for him to come clean if front of her.

Inspired by this thought yudi felt contented and motivated. He decided that he will tell rani entire truth and there was nothing wrong in it as he had not done any sin. However, he realised that on many occasion he had become blind by emotions and acted impetuously but that is just a human nature but he himself had also got control back on himself once he realised his mistakes and that shows he is not weak. At the same time, he was proud that he had life partner like rani and friend like saksh who had always stood by him as strong pillar and he will always grateful to god for that.

He felt that his love for rani was very divine without any expectation. He decided that he will wait till rani recover and then after talking with rani first thing he will do is to talk with his mom about this relation because he had to tell his mom name of the girl whom he loves a lot. After that he will tell his dad about this relation because he thought he does not want to hide his relation anymore and he was prepared to face any consequences that come with that revelation. Feeling satisfied he fell to sleep on the chair.

The rising sun cast a rosy hue across the morning sky and first ray of sunlight lit up rani's room. Sun ray's was filtering through the curtain like knives. Rani stirred in her sleep. Slowly she opened her eyes. Though because of fatigue she was feeling heaviness and having troubled opening her eyes. After great effort she opened her eyes and looked around. She saw nikki sleeping on sofa and visibly she seemed tired. Rani tried to sit on her bed because she was feeling thirsty but she could not. She was aching all over. With faint voice she called nikki.

Rani: nikkiji''.nikkiji''

After few attempt nikki woke up from her deep sleep and immediately rushed towards rani.

Nikki: rani aap theek to hain naa????? Kuchh chaahiye?

Rani: ji hum theek hain ''maaf kijiye hume aapko heraan karnaa padaa '.lekin hume paani chaahiye aur humse oothaa nahi jaa rahaa hain''

Nikki checked rani's forehead for fever. She was at ease that rani did not have fever.

She helped rani to sit on bed and then gave water to her. after drinking water rani looked around and then she looked at nikki in puzzlement. Nikki understood rani wanted to ask about yudi.

Nikki: kyaa baat hain kuchh chaahiye?

Rani: ji '.ji nahi who'(she quivered) 'kunvarji theek hain naa?

Nikki: ji rani bhaiya theek hain aap bhaiya ki chinta mat kijiye bas aaraam kijiye'''aur..

Rani: who aaye thee yaahaa'.kal ''.raat ko''

Chill pass through nikki's spine because she was confused whether she should share anything with rani or not because yudi had requested her that he will talk to rani himself. Nikki was apprehensive too because she did not know what memory rani had about last night.

Rani: kyaa huvaa nikkji '''.kuchh huvaa thaa ??????? kunvarji ki hume chintaa ho rahi hain''..

Nikki: rani kuchh nahi huvaa thaa aur bhaiya kal raat ko aapke kamare main''aaye the aur'..

But before she could inform her further there was knock on door. CR entered rani's room following by kali and bhanu.

CR: kaisi hain aap rani ab?

Rani:ji hum theek hain CRji'''.

CR gave stern look to nikki.

CR: rani aap kuchh din aaraam kijiye aur aapkaa kaam tab tak kali sambhaalegi''

Kali was perturbed hearing that and looked helplessly at bhanu . she was thinking that first of all their plan failed to send rani out of palace and rani became star in RS's eyes and now she has to do all chores on behalf of rani. oh god have mercy'''main kaha buva ki baato main phas gayi''she made some faces looking at bhanu but bhanu sign her to relax.

CR turned towards nikki and very sternly she said: nikki'..aap kuchh jaroorat se jyaadaa hi rani ki sevaa kar rahi hain''.woh kaam karne ke liye bahot saare naukar hain yahaa par'''..aap ek raj kumari hain aapko ye shobha nahi detaa''

Nikki could not reply back she just lowered her eyes. CR knew that if Nikki is around she will not be able to catch yudi red handed and she has to keep Nikki away from rani. However, for yesterday night she had very high hopes but Sukhiya did not inform her about any thing and CR was already fuming for that disappointment.

CR: agar RS ko pata chalaa to who bhi ghusa honge''..hum jaante hain rani ne BR ki jaan bachaayi hain aur hum oonke ahesaanmand hain lekin'''oonki seva ke liye hum naukaro ko kahenge aap jaayiye apne kamare main''..

Nikki looked at rani helplessly rani sign her not to worry because she was feeling fine. Nikki was despondent because her brother had asked her to take care of rani behalf of him.

CR asked kali to take care of rani but seeing kali's unhappiness bhanu informed CR that she will ask gauri to look after rani because kali had many other works to do.

Seeing nikki still standing there.

CR: chaliye aap humaare saath aur apne kamare main jaayiye'''

With heavy heart nikki had to follow CR.

Dejected, Nikki entered her room. The moment her eyes fell on bangles immediately she collected all of them fearing if somebody will see them than again some new problem will arise. She kept all the bangles nicely in it's box and kept that box to it's place very carefully''..jaise apni yaado ke tukdo ko samet kar wapis apni jagaah apne dil ke kaune main dafan kar diyaa ho''..

With tears in her eyes she went to bathroom to get ready. She decided to go to her mom's room and sit with her for a while that would ease her disquiet mind. She wanted to overcome her sorrow and loneliness in her mom's solitude.

After finishing her prayer, Nikki went to BR's room. Br was delighted and glad seeing Nikki there. However, she felt that her'''phool si beti murjaayi si hain'.jaise udaasi kale baadal banake ooske chaand se chahere pe chhaayi hain.

Nikki gave arati to her mom and fed her Prasad. Nikki could sense that BR's was trying to ask her something, Nikki thought BR must be worried about rani. Nikki took her mom's hand in her hand and pulled chair and set beside her. Nikki's back was towards door. Her mom's gentle touch was working as soothing balm for her and she was feeling very calm and relaxes. Seeing many questions floating in BR's eyes.

Nikki: maa ''.aap rani ke bare main jaan naa chaahti hain naa? '''aap chintaa mat kijiye who theek hain'''.aur ab oonkaa bukhaar bhi utar gayaa hain''

BR gave contented smile to her and with only facial expression she asked her that how is she feeling.

Knowing her mom's solicitous nature she tried to compose herself because she did not want her mom to worry about her.

BR thought my little girl wants to hide her pain behind her faint smile but I could read her eyes and mind. I could hear those unspoken words. She was mother after all and has seen her daughter enduring heart breaking sorrow. BR felt like taking her little girl in her warm embrace and caresses her. She knew that would not remove all agony from her life but at least enliven her.

Someone knocked on the door, BR looked at door and before Nikki also turned around and saw who was on door, she was shaken hearing that person's voice. She was like rock did not move and her grip on her mom's hand became intense. The person who was standing on door was saksh.

Saksh: pranam BRji'''

BR shook her head to welcome him. Saksh enter room but still he was standing near door anticipating that Nikki would turn and will look at him but he was bewildered that Nikki did not turn and greet him.

BR was also amused by Nikki's behaviour though she understood one thing that Nikki was trying to calm her down, she was fighting to control her emotions.

" BR ke haath par ooski pakad majboot ho rahi thee'..Br ko lagaa jaise nikki BR ke haatho ko nahi apne aniyantrit aur bechen hote dil ko thaam ne ki koshish kar rahi hain."

Saksh paused for a while he sensed that something was tormenting nikki, he wanted to see in her eyes because so far he had learn to read her eyes and only that way he could understand her agony and sorrow. His desperation was increasing by minute.

Saksh's presence and his words were creating tremor in each and every molecule of Nikki's body. Her trepidation was increasing and her grip on BR's hand was getting intense. She closed her eyes and tried to compose her voice.

Nikki: ji''phir. kyaa karne ko kahaa hain bhaiya ne''

Saksh was puzzled that why while talking with him Nikki is not turning. Nikki's tremor's wave he was feeling too. He suspected that something was terribly wrong with Nikki and with that realisation his abhorrence for himself increased because he thought that he was not able to help her in any way.

Saksh: who aapke kamare main rakhwaanaa hain to''.hum aapke kamare main pravesh karne ki anumati lene aaye hain''..

Her hand trembled and voice quiver. Tears rushed to her eyes and Br was helplessly watching her daughter.

Still saksh did not want to move from the place he was standing, for one moment he felt he just go near Nikki and see what was agonising her. Though saksh was there for nearly couple of minutes, but, to that moment, Nikki felt it was one of the longest moments of her life. Seconds plodded by, each separated from the next by an eternity. Air grew heavy, damp almost solid. She was breathing bricks. BR was still starring at her with pain in her eyes and saksh was still rooted to the place with last hope'''..that also he felt slipping slowly from his hand. ''..he could sense pain in Nikki's shaken voice.

BR was thinking my little girl turn once and looked in his desperate eyes. Saksh was thinking that Nikki ji please turn only once and let me help you remove all your misery. At same moment Nikki turned and looked towards door but saksh had already left. Nikki started sobbing bitterly. Her life had become remnants of all the sorrow. When she could not control herself she hugged her mom and started crying her heart out. Tears rushed to BR's eyes seeing her daughter suffering the punishment of her cruel destiny and BR was helplessly only watching her daughter going through all the pain.

Br thought if she would have voiced her daughter's feelings before her marriage then her daughter would not have been suffering like this. Somewhere she was responsible for her daughter's affliction. She got hunch about Nikki's feelings for saksh before her marriage but she kept quite thinking family's reputation. Silently, she had witnessed those moments where Nikki was trying to control her emotions. However, now she was regretting but now it was too late'''.

Despondent and stressed, saksh went to the main hall and took those technicians to Nikki's room''

Saksh gave needful instructions to those technicians and he was engrossed in his thoughts about Nikki and her behaviour. He suspected that something might have happen during night and that was the reason of Nikki's aloofness.

His mind was racing with thousands of dreadful thoughts. Though nikki was not in her room but saksh could feel her fragrance still lingering in the air. He wanted inhale that fragrance in his lungs and wanted to keep it within him as her remembrance.

Technician was arranging all the stuffs like computer, printer and then router but suddenly during their arrangement they found out that phone line was at the other side of the bed. They asked saksh about it and then suggested that they should bring wire from behind the bed and for that they had to move bed so they could arrange the wire properly and conceal them under the carpet so it does not ruin the dcor and beauty of the room. while they were moving heavy bed , cushion on the bed moved vigorously and one cushion fell from the bed near saksh's feet.

Saksh nonchalantly picked up the cushion from the floor and kept on bed but suddenly he realised that something was tucked under another cushion and partially visible. Immediately he removed both cushions from the bed and he was astonished seeing the thing that was hidden under cushion. There was an incredulous look on her face when he took that thing in his hand. He was obviously elated. Ecstatic, seeing'.remnant of his memory''''''..

Beena, Beena, O Beena.....me literally singing. Needless to say, I loved your this part. Yudi's pain of leaving Rani alone, his unconditional love for her, his guilt (well kind of) of how to face Rani after what he did, his dilemma to whether tell Rani the whole truth or not, and then his contentment & confidence after comparing his situation to the moon and contemplating his actions, all this and more is explained by you in such a perfect and beautiful way.....hats off to you Beena. And for this reason, I will have to read your last part all over again, to continue to cherish every single word written. 😊

And one more thing I absolutely loved is BR's thoughts about comparing a flower's destiny to Nikki's current situation. Just like it is never a flower's fault as to where it lands up, same way, it is not Nikki's fault that she is in such a situation. And that she has full rights to live her life with happiness. You have so beautifully written Saksham's only desire to see Nikki face, specially her eyes, so that he can take all her pain away and some how through his eyes console her. And on the other hand, Nikki's pain of controlling her emotions to the extreme so that she does not loose her self-control. And BR, being a witness to all this, helplessly crying with her daughter and providing whatever solace she can through her eyes and touch. How poignant and heart-wrenching is this. Beena, you have done an excellent job here.

Wow seriously Beena, as usual, you have captured each and every emotion of Yudi, NiSha, and BR perfectly. 👏

Now I am waiting to see how Yudi faces Rani and Rani on knowing the full truth, how will she react. Alot to look forward to. 😊

Beena, loved it. Perfect through and through. The lines you write about the flowers and their destiny are so well written...a flower is a flower, it has no choice as to where it goes...really beautiful.

I want to know what Saksh found...a bangle perhaps?

And as for Yudi...finally realising he may not be as strong as he thought he was. That in itself is a big deal for him, to realise he is vulnerable too...
