Here are a few theories:

A. It's really Gaurav acting b/c he wants $$$$$$$$$
B. Gaurav and RR are working together bc last minute RR decided that he needed G to really trick the family.

C. One of the above is true, but only temporarily until Prem gets his memory back.
D. A is true but then Gaurav falls for Heer and the family and tries to become good.

Balaji was doing so well with this track (right?) that they wouldn't just give it up so easily. Wow, this drama is EXACTLY like Kyunki and other K serials...just more charismatic and less annoying characters (lallu and veera and that gypsy are exceptions...RR's guard is hilarious and a blatant humiliating copy of eklavya. seriously he's a spoof on AB and the idea should be a source of shame for the creatives)

they better not show any crap like him not being prem..cuz ekta shows sooo many unrealistic things in her serials that she should make any story and make him prem...cuz just because some one has the same face doesn't mean they can replace anyone....but that headache he keeps on having seems like it could be prem..cuz if u take any normal person and bombard them with info..they dont always start having headache like gaurav did

its just that the change was so abrupt. like there was no change just people bombarding him.

if they really wanted to show prem, would he starting getting all these flashbacks? instead they showed other ppl's flashbacks of him.
