The story in the book and what Ekta is going to show in Bandini is little different. Only the skeltal story from Retpankhi has been taken. In the book, the girl is an orphan who is forced to marry this elderly widower who has kids her age. She is not accepted by anyone at her husband's place and everyone goes out of their way to make her life miserable. The girl finally wins everyone's hearts, including her husband's, but due to some tragic circumstances, has to leave him in the end and go away.I am so not wanting to see this scenario in Bandini and I don't think this is the case here. Only the main characters and background from the book has been taken, rest all is Ekta aunty's own imagination and I am hoping to see a wonderful love story here!Cheers,Soapie

Thank you Soapie for clearing up that misconception.
On a side note, I told my mom to send me the book with a friend who is coming by the end of the month. Of course I am getting the original Gujarati version and am looking forward to reading it again.

Awesome. Then you can tell us all about it.
Or better yet, maybe I can borrow the book after you are done! 😉
