But there isn't much to read beyond their friendship, as the actress has been dating a guy from Chandigarh for close to five years. In fact a couple of her close friends, who work on both the shows are aware of this fact, and have even met or seen the guy.
"He's quite good looking and she definitely has a thing for him. I don't think she wants to go public about this as it's a delicate matter and a personal issue for him", says her friend.
On a trip
Reveals a source close to Surveen, "Everyone from the industry knows about her boyfriend; she has been with him for over four years now. He's from Chandigarh and often travels to Delhi to meet her. She also makes many trips to Delhi to meet him."
Another source, who works with Surveen and refused to be named, says, "He's a damn cute guy, and the two seem to be very much in love. I know for sure he's from Chandigarh or Delhi, because she keeps visiting those places."
Keeping it private
When we contacted Surveen for her version of the story, she was in absolute denial. "There is no one in my life right now. I think whoever has given you the information, is misinformed. I guess the industry cannot see a pretty girl being single, so they want to link me with someone."
But what about the people who have confirmed their relationship? "I have lots of friends coming down from Delhi who stay in Mumbai; it doesn't mean I am dating any of them.
Besides, even though my co-stars are very close friends to me, I keep a distance from them when it comes to my private life. There's a personal space that I like to keep to myself."
Missing Chaitanya
When asked about her relationship with co-star Chaitanya, she says, "I miss working with Chaitanya; I hardly have any scenes with him these days."
Are they merely good friends or is there more than meets the eye? "I am a very straightforward person, and when the time is right, I shall share the information with the media. At this point, I want to just concentrate on my work," the actress adds. "I am totally caught up doing these two shows, so there isn't any time to sign anything new."
