I actually did dislike James's character after his stupid prank on Snape, but in Deathly Hallows, he grew on me. I think it's really easy being a prat and immature and all that, but to change is really hard, and to change for someone else prooves how much he loves them. Because James changed for Lily, and became more mature, it prooves that he really did love her alot, and she was not just one of his crushes. Now, he's one of my fav characters.
