Ok, first when I read the subject, I thought that the actor portraying Nanaji was also the Dress Designer of Bandini😕 Was definitely taken aback!

Coming back to the article, can't understand why a critic cannot comment in a balanced manner...every serial / movie has its plus and minus points (at least most of them) and if the critic is trying to be funny and entertaining by lampooning a serial, then why can't he or she be professional enough to write what they thougth was good about it?
Or maybe, everyone is just so gung-ho about blasting Ekta Kapoor and Balaji Telefilms, that the very thought of watching a superlative product is indigestable!
Without any comparisons to other serials, Bandni in itself is a great soap and shows tremendous promise. And this is probably the first review, I have read, where the sets and costumes are being criticized...almost all other reviews wrote positively about the realistic atmosphere set by the serial.
Hence, either the critic is just copy-pasting her views from some other article, without bothering to watch the serial on her own or maybe she like many others prefers flowing with the tide and brushing off anything that has 'Balaji Telefilms' tag on it!
In the end, its the viewers who give the seal of approval on a serial and not the critic. So lets just watch and wait how Bandini finds its followers!
Soapie
PS: What is so wrong with having middle-aged men as Hero's? Its the actor and the character that matter over any other thing...and if the audience likes a 40+ hero, then so it is!

Very well written, Soapie. 👏👏 Could not have put it better. Just because the journo cannot find anything to criticize from the production viewpoint, then go for the sets and costumes. 😕

The parts I have highlighted in your post say it all.

Very well put indeed, Soapie!

It seems that the critic if I may call her so - has written this review based on a colleague's account .. I doubt even if a single episode has been viewed by the author!

And Bandini does not need the stamp of approval by SUCH critics .. who are making a joke out of a professional review!!!
