Ditto to that Sukhs. For me entertainment is only there to provide me with much needed and much loved escape from reality. I see more then enough of stark reality in my world, to then go and demand reality from my entertainment as well. I want sweet distraction from my entertainment only....

Sukhi, I've not seen Ballika Vadhu yet, but if ratings are anything to go by, then the show probably is brilliant. If it is disturbing in any way, as long as it is not more disturbing than real life, there is always a good chance of it finding acceptance with the audience 😊
I think these days, TV serials with more realistic content tend to find more appreciation than they would have done 5 years ago... I think it's partly because the unrealistic stuff has all been done to death and people have seen it all 😆 These days, the audience is a lot smarter... shows with realistic characters, situations and themes that the aam janta can relate to, those shows are the ones that have potential to do really well.

Bandini seems to be a break from the usual Balaji Telefilms tales of love triangles in the big city... and so right away, it has potential 😆
God bless.

Thanks for that Tabs ..

Even I want something tad better than reality to be shown when I want entertainment.. otherwise it ceases to be entertainment to me and becomes infotainment which I would rather not watch in my free time ..

@ Mango Bhai ..

No denying that BV is a ace show .. brilliant in all categories..

I like to watch it.. but after some time, it becomes disturbing .. maybe I am one of the few people who belong to this bracket .. so be it..

mango she is not copying...she following the trend...the current successful soaps are one where the setting is more rural more realistic, the characters not overly dressed and made up...starting from Balika...to Bidaii...the hankering of rural desi life bygone is the current taste of the viewers.

Suks, I am all for logical and realistic stories. Saying that, I want to be throughly entertained when I set infront of the screen and that means, I don't want to see the hardship and stark realism of life at that time.

Am I repeating myself 😕? Wonder why 😕?
