It looks like the excitement of 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button' being nominated for 13 Oscars has caused a momentary lapse in Brad Pitt's concentration, for the actor made the ultimate fashion faux-pas after stepping out onto the red carpet with his flies undone.

The actor was attending a photocall in Paris as part of his tour around the world promoting the film, in which he stars as a man who ages backwards.

The 45-year-old has received an Oscar nomination for Best Actor in his new flick.

He will be up against Mickey Rourke (The Wrestler), Richard Jenkins (The Visitor) Frank Langella (Frost/Nixon) and Sean Penn (Milk) for Best Actor.
