Hey
As you all know I have a soft heart (okay somewhere in the middle šŸ˜†), So I do get sorta emotional and stuff, but today I had a small discussion at work about Body Doubles in the staffroom also known as the kitchen with sofas šŸ˜†
Is it fair that the actors who get paid soo much to ACT can have body doubles SO much in a drama?? We were actually talking about hollywood body doubles such as Kylie Monogue's. When Kylie lost some weight (medically) the body double went to have a quick fix at the Drs and had a surgery so she wouldnt be replaced and then she can continue earning money. YET she is never seen on TV, shes just a body everyone says "woah shes hot" to.
When she was asked how do you feel that people think that is Kylies body not hers, she was like I dont mind its a compliment.. I feel she should get recognised.. Whereever Kylie went she went.. Just pack and go.
Do you think there should be a limit as to how much should be shown on screen, some actors can not to justice what so ever on screen when they have a body double, facial expression kahan aur body kahan. šŸ˜†
I understand that actors go off on holidays and things, but if a body double is used everyday, acting has totally mismatched the scene do you think its fair to use a body double? You can never see who's body you are looking at. Thats what bugs me, they are stars in their own right but they do not get recognition by viewers. No one seems to know their name.. I would love to know all the body doubles names so I can say they are doin a marvolous job being on set when actors can not. To be fair it cant be easy having the same physique day in day out, if they wanted to be another actor they would have to have a quick fix or something.
This is about actors in general.. not just the one or three..
Henz ^_^

Hey Henna,
I so totally agree with you on this.. a lot of times that these body doubles also do the scenes that are more dangerous and the actors are just too scared to do .. fearing that if they are in an accident and they loose their looks, their career as actor will be destroyed. But what about the body doubles ? They have a face too.. they have life too and with the kind of meger salary that they must be getting for doing the work, if they have an accident, they not only loose career but also the very source of income too..
I think that the production house should take more care of these people because of whom they can continue their serials in absence of their stars. And they should get more public rfecognition.. I feel even the actors themselves using the body doubles should respect and recognise the efforts of these people who they depend so much on...
Kudos to them from me... šŸ‘

Brill point! šŸ‘šŸ¼
They do all these dangerous scenes but we just end up saying yeh its a BD.. but no one sees the actual daredevil or anything. Reminds me of Waqt where Akki did that scene as a BD when the actor didnt want to do it.
Yup and if anything happens to them then anyone who is dependent on them - family, may end up gettin the worst end of it too

They do deserve alot of credit..english body doubles are used as decoys i remeber seeing britneys interview and thats why the needed her double because their was so much papparazzi.
