"I never look at any film as parallel or mainstream. For me every role is a character that needs to look as real as possible on screen and playing it convincingly is my only aim. Whether it's an ultra-glam diva that I play or a rustic village girl," she says. But having tasted success in both kinds of cinema, is it difficult to choose one over another? "I've always believed in following my heart and that's what I do even when selecting a film. If I am convinced about the character then I agree. But I do believe in maintaining a balance between the parallel and mainstream films. Because while the parallel films satisfy the actress in me, the mainstream films also take care of the 'heroine' part," laughs the actress. Urmila's last outing was in the vampish avtar in Karzz. The film, however, failed at the box office. "Success or failure of a film doesn't really matter since we don't have any control over destiny. But it feels good to know that people have loved you and your work," added Urmila. Well, and going by her fan-following, seems like Urmila's balancing act after all has struck all the right chords with the audiences!
