January 12^th 2009 Written Update

Surya falls into the water and thrashes around in the water until he sinks into the water. Yuvraj looks on desperately and cries frantically that he killed his father. Kajri is worried seeing Yuvraj's weakness and tells him that what he did was right. Yuv and Kajri get into the car and drive off.

There, Savitri feels something amiss and Saraswati assures her that Surya will be here any moment. Savitri goes to her room and dresses up, but accidently her sindoor box falls. Sav is worried and prays for Surya. Kaj takes Yuvraj to her house and assures him about what he's done. Yuvraj frantically wonders what will happen if anyone were to find out he were behind this.

The entire family waits for Surya to return and Saras calls his office where she hears that he never came to work. They call Yuvraj and Sav asks abt Surya. Yuv tells that he never went to work today so he doesn't know where Surya could be. Kajri advises a reluctant Yuv to go home. When he arrives there he sees the police has already arrived with a missing person complaint filed for Surya. Yuv offers to go with them, and Sav and Saras go as well. They go around town searching for him while the police dogs trace his scent.

All the dogs arrive near the lake and the police gather there. Men search the lake and scream to the police that they found a corpse. Yuv is shocked and Sav, Saras pray that it's not Surya. They drag the body out of the water but the face is unrecognizable. They go back in the water to check if any items were found near the body and they find a few things.

They show them to Sav, which she recognizes as his wallet, his shawl, his shoes, and his cane. Sav breaks down and runs to his body which is covered.

Precap: Yuv is panicking as he can't find his locket that he wore that day.
