Big B out of Hospital

Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan, who underwent a surgery for intestinal problems, was today discharged from Lilavati Hospital.

The actor left the hospital at 11.11 am in a luxurious four-wheeler- Range Rover - followed by a convoy of cars.

His son actor Abhishek, daughter Shweta, Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh and Sahara chief Subrato Roy accompanied the superstar on way home.

Emerging out of the hospital, Bachchan, clad in a white kurta pyjama, waved at his fans and waiting media personnel who had gathered outside the hospital at suburban Bandra since early morning.

Police and the hospital authorities have set up heavy security arrangements inside and outside the hospital.

A fortnight ago, Bachchan was flown in to Mumbai from New Delhi following complaints of severe abdominal pain and admitted to Lilavati hospital.

The actor was diagnosed with diverticlulam of the small intestine which had infection, inflammation and perforation on November 30. Bachchan had to undergo an emergency operation on the same day
