'Winning at this age would mean a lot'

The grand-finale of the celebrity dance competition, 'Nach Baliye' is going live tonight on Star One. People would be glued to their television sets between 9 and 10.30 to find out who wins the coveted title of 'Nach Baliye Champions'. A fat cash prize of 50 Lakhs is also at stake. While the rehearsals are at their peak, Rachna Kanwar talks to Sachin about what it would mean to win the title at not-so-young age of 48 while the younger lot gapes in admiration.

The final round of 'Nach Baliye' is just a few hours away, how nervous do you feel? Any butterflies in the stomach?
Butterflies, butterflies everywhere...not just in the stomach.

How is the rehearsal going and what is the format tonight?
Rehearsals are going just fine. A lot of hard work is involved as we have to perform 6 minutes per couple. It is tough. Two numbers are solo, each couple will have one song. So four solos and two duets. And one number will have everyone dancing together.

For the first time there is going to be live voting on TV via SMS, how do you feel?
I am pretty thrilled about it; anything can happen.

If you win tonight what is the first thing you want to do?
There are two things I am going to do. One is to thank the almighty for giving us this opportunity to be in 'Nach Baliye'. The second thing would be to go home and touch my mother's feet.

What is the most important thing about being in the finals of the competition and winning it, if at all?
If we win, it will mean a lot to us at this age. Because the kind of joy I would see in my daughter's eyes and my mother; that would be something much greater than anything else.

My message is that so far they have liked our effort and if they feel that this couple is worth something then please keep us in mind.
