Does Mr Perfectionist play the media every time a movie releases? Masala! weighs in

Masala says...
Yes
Here's this hero shaving a fan's head in the middle of a crowded market. Here's the same superstar parading in a waistcoat in a shopping mall. Why? Because he has a film coming up!
Aamir Khan, usually off-limits to the press and public, makes it a point to surface dramatically every time his movies are about to release. He made all those controversial comments about Black just ahead of Taare Zameen Par and is now back to badmouthing SRK ahead of Ghajini. His every move is geared at generating publicity. If that's not being the ultimate PR machine, what is?
No
Poor Aamir. Every actor and director works hard at PR ahead of a film, but only he gets a really bad name.
True he's modelled clothes for Ghajini, but SRK endorsed a whole collection ahead of Om Shanti Om. Yes, he went all out to promote Jaane Tu for nephew Imran, but daddy Harry did no less for Harman and his Love Story 2050, releasing on the same date.
If Aamir was all that PR-hungry, would he have kept the media away from his wedding to Kiran Rao?
He generated more bad press by that single action than most actors have managed in a lifetime! So leave the poor man alone.
