Someone explain this change in personality...

We saw Rajasthan Prem helping an unknown girl (without even expecting anything in return.) We saw him on top of a bus, then hiking to Ajmer Sharif, and even bowing down in front of a god's murti. He had the sensitivity to tie an unknown person's thread at the dargah, just so their mannat would be fulfilled. Not to mention, he actually ran (raced) across the desert, because he saw Heer about to faint (the night of his entry).

Now, we have a Prem who is getting irritated by Heer crying, cares too much about how he looks, is rather money-minded, and also drinks everyday (I think that was the precap, right?)

Before I scream, will someone please explain this 180 degree turn?
