Hi I am new on IF. I have been watching Idol. I was thinking that Remo and Kapil are portrayed as weak players. Even the judges constantly keep on discouraging them.
What do you all think? Do you like them at all? If not why? What are your views on them.
To me, I think they should be encouraged rather than demoralized on the show. After all they were picked by the judges so i don't know why they are being bashed now.
Don't get me wrong now. I do think that they need to improve a lot and they are weak compared to others, but i also feel that they should be given the same respect as others.
Thanks, sorry if my comment is taken in a negative way.

It doesn't matter how cute Remo is or how much of a gentleman Kapil is. This is a SINGING competition. One must sing properly above everything else.

I think that they should kiss Idol goodbye, and while they're leaving, take Kuldeep and Mohit with them.

Welcome to the forum, hun!

Thanks for the warm welcome.
Lol isn't kuldeep already out? I thought he was.
Mohit isn't that bad of a singer after all...he's being portrayed as the "bad" guy becuz of the producers'creative team as he's shown with tulika one day and then torsha the other day. I think mohit should concentrate more on his singing though.
I 100% agree with you on the fact that its a singing competition and the best deserves to win, but judges should not be that rude when it comes to comments. I don't understand why they even picked them in the first place when they were soo "besura" to beign with.

^Arghh, grrr ... you ruined it for me. I haven't seen Saturday's elimination episode yet. 😆

I would agree with you about Mohit, but unfortunately, his Khuda Jaane performance was horrendous. I would say that yes, he has shown some improvement since then, but that's not good enough. We need singers who are good singers already. This competition is looking for the best singer, not who can improve the most. You know what i mean?

The problem is that the overall talent this season is very lacking, and that's causing the judges to highly praise singing that on other shows will be considered below average.

anu malik at the beginning of indian idol started snapping his fingers and said "yaa, we want rafi's,asha's,kishore's ya ya we want to raise the standard"

then he started picking good looking ppl like mohit with bad sur.

THEN he insults them. theres a limit to how moody one can be.

OMG Woh Ajnabee I am soo sorry you had not seen the episode. sorry again that i spoiled it for you
oldblackjoe-- i agree with u...anu malik is in love with good looking people...that's one of the main reasons he promoted mohit.
and ya in the prelim rounds judges were all stating that they raised the bar...i really don't think they raised the bar at all...if they did, then they wouldnt have picked remo or kapil..becuz we all agree on the fact that they are weak compared to others.

Hi! zainab25,
First of welcome to the forum and A Very Happy New Year to you.
Kapil is one of my favorite contestants among boys and you are right I also constantly find him being potrayed as a weak contestant no matter how well he sings. The judges especially Javedji is constantly demoralizing him and bringing him down.
I understand it is a Singing competiton like it has been brought up quite a few times and in my opinion Kapil is a good singer. I have said this before, if we all like the same singers, same things, the world will be a boring place. He sounds really good to me but I completely understand he may not sound the same to others.
It is really hurtful when people start saying that he is "besura", "bum" "lame" or is only there because he is in the army. Him being in the army has nothing to do with his singing. I do not like him because he is in the army. I like him because I feel a connection to him through his voice. If he is so bad as he is made out to be here and by the judges, I always wonder why the judges picked him out of 100s and thousands of other singers.
If people here do not like him or his singing, it is completely acceptable but they should not call him names and degrade him like that too you know. If someone does not have anything nice to say, they should not say anything at all.
Thanks for the post and I did not take any offence to your comments.

heyy thanks for the warm welcome.
you exactly said what i wanted to say...i do agree that he may be weak when it comes to singing...but when i hear him, i like his performance...judges can critique him in a positive way instead of contiinuously making him feel guilty...judges need to remember that they picked him and brought him to indion idol.
i hope he improves and hopefully the negativity from the judges doesn't break him.

The judges chose Kapil 'cause he performed well in the threatre rounds. But thereafter, he hasn't performed. He may not be a bad singer but he definitely isn't the best.

Remo cant sing, Kapil he can sing but i think it is just the choice of the song he chooses, one day he will gobsmack the judges and they wont no wat to say. Remo should have been out ages ago and so should have mohit, but nooooooooooo the judges had to bring him bak, maybe they like listening to bad singing😉
