Hi everyone.

So there is this new girl at work and i've just became friends with her last month. But there's something weird going one. For the past few weeks when ever she comes to work she has these bruises on her arms and when ever i ask her about it she'll pull her sweater down and make up a excuse like she fell or hit the door. And the other day we where late getting out and her dad was picking her up and she just looked at me and it was kind of a scared look, but her dad looked even scarier like a abusive type. So I'm scared that she's getting physically beat at home, and i want to help her i just don't know what to do. I'm scared that if i ask her and that's not the case she'll get offended or if it is the case she'll deny it and never talk to me again.

What should i do?

the bruises does sound that she's being physically abused. Don't ask her this until you build the trust and friendship with her because she will be scared telling you. My father had also abused me and my little sister when we were young but he left us to marry his cousin. I remember I used to be really scared and never told my abusive life to anyone but now as an adult, I am not scared anymore, I tell my life problems to those who I trust. Try to start a normal conversation with her so she can trust you and tell you everything slowly. Make sure you show her that you won't tell her abusive life to anyone because it can scare her more especially in the beginning of the friendship but behind her back seek counseling to figure out a way to help her step-by-step. She might need some friendship love, that's going to build her confidence in sharing her problems with you. Right now, be friends with her.

Don't think your friend will be offended if you ask her... if she's your friend, you should ask her... that shows you care...

Talk to her for sure, fast... this isn't something that should be waited on
