" Tring" rang the alarm. Shutting off the alarm, he made his way out of his bed and walked towards the bathroom. He turned on the shower and took a bath. As he took a shower, flashback turned him on, meeting her for the first time, their marriage and their bitter seperation. He didn't know where she was anymore. She left, but why and where??
He walked out of the bathroom and put on his suit and tie. Today was a big presentation with a newbie but renowned company. He was looking forward to this, he always believed in promoting new talent and new companies to work with him.
He walked downstairs to be greeted by his staff. He sat himself on the large table filled with delicious goodies but something lacked. He liked the food and complimented his chef. He grabbed his lunch and walked out to the car.
The driver greeted him and then they went towards the company.
While sitting in the car, he penned down his thoughts on his blackberry. His thoughts wandered over to the girl in the street. Dancing in the rain, he smiled at this and thought about the first time he saw her.

"Armaan, you are late, come let's get going"
" Okay dad, let me just swallow this breakfast piece down, I'll meet you there Dad, I promise"
" Okay, don't be late"
" I won't"
Armaan quickly finished his breakfast and give a kiss to his mom and handed down towards the company that he was going to learn the ropes of, how to take over companies etc. Business was part of his blood.. As he made his way into the car, the car suddenly stopped at a signal light. He stared outside the window, people were talking, police men controlling the traffic, the usual but something catched his eye.
It was a girl, same age as him, dressed in a red t-shirt with a white short top on it and blue jeans and was dancing in the rain. He found it amusing that she was dancing in the rain while other kids danced around. He found it cute and innocent. He stared at her for a while. Finally, she turned around. She was beautiful he thought to himself. He had seen pretter girls at parties but she was something else. She left him breathless. She kissed the kids and left.
Armaan was surprised to see her gone so quickly but by that time the cars had moved so Armaan was snapped out of his thoughts.
He was greeted at work by his staff and he learned the ropes of the job very quickly but he couldn't get her out of his mind. Her smile, her innoncence, her enjoying rain was framed in hs mind.
" Sir"
Snapped out of the previous thoughts, he stared at his driver who pointed to the beggers on the street. He felt bad for them and openeed his pocket to take out some change and give it to them. They blessed him and walked away.
He entered his office and was greeted b y his staff. He entered his office and looked at the files. His secretary greeted him.
"Sir, the meeting is fixed for 11: 30 today"
" Alright, but make sure they are informed that and come on time, I don't like late comers"
" Yes sir. Anything else"
" No, it's fine"
As his secretary walked away, he stared his laptop looking at future sales when his eyes fell on a letter. He opened it. It was invitation card. " Not again, too many invitation cards". He threw the inviation card on the side and stared at the time.
" 9 am. 2 hours and this meeting will be underway. He wondered who would be representing this company. Mr. Malhotra said it was a female who was hard working and worked her way up. He was looking forward to meeting her.." But he was also wondering where she was.. Where are you Riddhima?
" Riddhima " screamed a person from other side of the town.
" Mom, what is it?"
" Come, have you breakfast, you don't want to be late for this project do you"
" No mom" smiled Riddhima at her mom.
Her family was her and her mom. Her dad was there, but being daughter of Dr. Shashank Gupta was not an easy cake walk. He was the dean of the school and as well as such as big doctor prompted him to be away. She grew up seeing him off to confrences and even now, he was at confrence when she was re-stepping her life again and then there was a medical geek , her sister Anjali Gupta, another doctor who is out to do research. So it's her, her mom, the servants and of course Dodo - her adorable parrot to is getitng annoying nowadays..
" Mom, is Dad and Di coming?"
" Why beta?'"
" You guys's anniversary is coming up , Please tell me Dad will be here"
" I don't expect anything out of him beta, we can discuss this later"
Dad was dad, but sometimes Riddhima felt he was a jerk. Past 3 anniversaries, Riddhima has made it special for her mom but throwing a big party is not important, having Dad by her side is more important.
Riddhima saw her mom wipe off her tears. She felt bad. She was gonna say when she was interrputed by the annoying Parrot. " Good job, you made her cry. You stupid"
Riddhima stared at the parrot" Dodo" . She got up and give her mom a sorry hug. Her mom hugged her back and finally all the melodrama was done and Riddhima grabbed her files and left before giving kiss to her mom and Dodo of course.
She made her way into the car and drove to the company. Excel Enterprises, Her boss Mr. Malhotra' recommeded this. Yes, she was working under someone which bothered the entire family but she wanted to make some decisions herself and be independent on her own.
She stepped out of the car and stared at excel enterprises. She stared at the clock. 11: 20. She was on time.
She made her way and displayed her name card. She was pointed to the place she was going.
She stepped out of the 11th floor to the lavish board room. The entire board was waiting for her, but as usual, the boss was not here. " Great, I hate latecomers"
She grabbed her seat, right next to the chairmen as that was the only seat avialable. She stared at the big seat, that was surrounded by two bodyguards. " Jeez, this guy is well protected. She stared at her clock, 11: 29. Wow, the boss is late."
The doors opened and everyone stood up. She stood up to see a man dressed in a black formal suit , looking dashing and greeted everyone warmly. As she turned to take a closer look, her heart skipped a beat, her body felt tinging, numb as she thought about those past moments, those bitter pills. She froze as time has frozen everything from this moment..
