| 'I loved the attention of boys but never accepted proposals' |
| My college days |
I was born and raised in Norway, so I did my college from there. I went to the Drannen College, Norway and studied arts. College days were fun and I had the time of my life there. It always feels good to remember my friends and all the crazy things we did. Besides my friends, I also enjoy recalling the moments when my teachers praised me. I was one of the girls most loved by the teachers. They thought I was very innocent, humble and polite. Now when I look back, I think that it was my sincerity and hard work that made them fond of me. I rarely bunked classes. My father was very strict and that used to deter me from being naughty in school or college. But I used to balance my dull college life by participating in all the extra-curricular activities. I did stage shows, participated in dance competitions and almost all the cultural programmes. But my favourite activity was sports. I used to play football and loved ice-skating. It was my participation in sports that kept me connected to many people besides my batchmates. Though I don't remember any particular incident that still makes me nostalgic, there are moments that make me laugh and think how silly I was. Valentine's Day every year was one of them. The boys would come to me with lots of gifts, flowers and chocolates. I used to be very shy and would start blushing. I always loved the attention I got from boys, but I was wary of accepting any proposals. When you are in college you feel you are strong and mature enough to make all important decisions without anyone's help. But be cautious as the young mind needs an experienced person to guide it. One should always share everything with their parents. No one other than parents can understand your problems better. They truly love you selflessly. |
