Now-a-days I am really p***ed off with Radha. She does not spend 5 minutes with her daughters to understand what they are going through - for example, why Ruchi is behaving in a strange manner, when she is not like that usually. She does not dig deeper to find out what's bothering her.
She does not ask Rohini why she is rushed off her feet. If she had, she would have been told about Raunak and her bossy ways etc. Instead of looking after her own three daughers, she is running around wiht Raunak calling her 'beti jaisi'. She does not even know what her daughters interests are, what's happening in their lives esp. with regards to men in their life etc.
My own opinion - no offense to anyone. If I am stressed I would run to my mother and for her I would come first and everything and everyone else later.

I did find it odd, before there were always lill mother-daughter talks but now its more about the daughter's carrier or her love life. Radha has blind faith on her daughters, she knows her betis are not doing anything wrong hence she had given them maximum freedom to match up with city life. But she does keep worrying about them always, for instance calls up Meethi when she is busy in office, also ruchi's change in behaviour irked her too but she was distracted, she is so worried about her daughters future.

And for Raunak, she considers her as her child, there is nothing wrong in it. Atleast Raunak shares all her sorrows with a stranger like Radha, she considers radha as a magician..her personal pandit..while these days the daughters don't share anything with their mum. They hardly have time for her, so what will the poor mum do?

@ Anu: Couldn't have put it better myself. The roles of mothers change as their children grow up. When children are young mothers are more strict, everything that is done by the child is processed by the mother for confirmation. By the time they get to their teens mothers set them a certain degree of freedom and children learn to become independent...and as time goes on the amount of independence increases. This is the only way the betis will learn to cope with life struggles. Radha can't be there forever...who will the betis run to then?
