NO NO i dont think the channel decides the winner. If someone is getting high votes why will the channel eliminate them. All the channel needs is votes. And what will they get if they declare Prashant Tamang as the indian Idol. They wanted him because he gets very high votes from his region.....

So it is the regional voting that ultimately matters.
