Despite all the negativity levelled at the writers of Saat Phere ( which they do deserve), they are utilizing some religious theories. In the ensuing battle of 'Good' versus 'Evil' they have now up the stakes. Jiji is now exhibiting most of the seven deadly sins (I am unsure of Gluttony - that would be Dheer's trait..)
The Seven Deadly Sins
Pride - is an excessive belief in one's own abilities.
Envy - is wanting what others have, be it status, abilities, or possessions.
Gluttony - is the desire to eat or consume more than you require.
Lust - is a powerful craving for such as sex, power and money.
Anger - is the loss of rational self-control and the desire to harm others.
Greed - is the desire for material wealth or gain.
Sloth - is laziness and the avoidance of work.
When the seven deadly sins were defined that we should avoid, there was included a counter-balancing set of values that we should espouse and adopt. These are
Seven virtues
Faith is belief in the right things (including the virtues!). steadfastness in belief
Hope is taking a positive future view, that good will prevail
Charity is concern for, and active helping of, others.
Fortitude is never giving up
Justice is being fair and equitable with others
Prudence is care of and moderation with money. proper judgement of reasons for action with regard to appropriateness in a context
Temperance is moderation of needed things and abstinence from things which are not needed (practicing self-control)
The first three of these are known as the Spiritual Virtues, whilst the last four are called the Chief or Natural Virtues.
These are the values I believe Saloni lives by
