18th December Update

Highlights:

Aradhana angry with Shaelin

Akshay asks Sanjana for money

Aradhana-Shaelin's plans for Shimla

Update:

Aradhana leads a drunk Shaelin to their room where he collapses on the bed. She picks up the nighty from the bed and puts it away before taking of her jewellery and sadly looking at her reflection in the mirror.

Morning…

Shaelin wakes up with a hangover and is silently handed tea by coffee. She makes to leave but Shaelin stops her and apologises saying that he had to entertain clients last night. Aradhana tells him that he could have called to say that he would be late and asks him if he understands that Akshay, Sagar and Simran see him as a role model. She asks what Dadu would have thought if he had seen his state last night. Shaelin again apologises saying that it was because of his clients and he didn't call because he thought she might have been asleep.

Aradhana is annoyed and tells him that from now on if he is late she won't wait up for him and just go to sleep. She leaves without listening to his protests and heads down where she hands the children their lunch. Sagar asks her to sign his report card. Aradhana flicks through it and refuses to sign it saying that she works so hard on him but he hasn't even achieved a C grade. Simran says that it's good she refused as Sagar always gets away with it.

They leave and Aradhana sits down upset. Nirmila asks if Shaelin came home last night. Aradhana tries to cover up for him but Nirmila tells her that Shaelin is her son and she knows him well. Aradhana is upset that she took out Shaelin's anger on Sagar but before Nirmila can tlk to her further, Aradhna says that she had left the milk on the gas and hurries to the kitchen.

Restaurant…

Akshay is with Sanjana and tells her that he is in a big problem and hesitantly asks her if she could possibly arrange for some money from he rparents. Sanjana is stunned and asks why he can't get it from Shaelin. Akshay replies that Shaelin is busy with some personal problems and Sanjana tries to make him understand that her parents want to see her settled with a man who can provide for her. What would they think if she asks them for money o give to him?

Just then Akshay gets a call from Nirmila who orders him to come home.

Lunch…

Nirmila tells everyone that she has called everyone here as she feels that despite living in a joint family, everyone hardly sees each other which is why she ordered everyone here for lunch. She comments that Monday and Tuesday is a bank holiday so with the weekend it means a four-day holiday. Shaelin replies that won't be possible as he has so much work so he will be working over the weekend as well.

Nirmila points out that he has made his office in to a home and asks Akshay to book a resort as Aradhana's birthday is on Friday. Aradhana is happy and exclaims that the whole family will have lots of fun over the four-day holiday. Vrinda refuses to go. Aradhana asks her not to worry about her health as everyone will look after her. Vrinda retorts that she doesn't want anymore favours.

Nirmila cuts of the argument and says that she wasn't talking about the family but only about Shaelin and Aradhana. Everyone agrees and Bharat asks Akshay to book a honeymoon suite. Aradhana looks down shyly.

Ara-Sha room…

Aradhana is lost in her own thoughts and doesn't reply as Akshay knocks on the door. He calls out to her but when she doesn't respond Akshay drops some keys on to the table in front of her and teases her about her blushing.

He shows her some brochures from different hotels but Aradhana tells him that she wants to go Shimla. Akshay pulls a face and Aradhana explains that they had gone once before but not straight away, after six months of their marriage. At that time Vrinda's health was deteriorating and Sagar was also very little. Finally Nirmila had forced them out the house and for the first time, her and Shaelin has truly been alone.

Akshay asks what happened next and Aradhna hits him with the brochure and tells him that nothing else happened. Akshay asks if he can take Sanjana with him but Aradhana chases him out.

Office…

Nikita scathingly asks Shaelin where he is going with his family. He replies that he's leaving with Aradhana an annoyed Nikita leaves for her cabin. Shaelin calls Aradhana and tells her that he may be late.

Urgh – only thought that came to my head when I saw Nikita. Plus point was the interaction between Aradhana and Akshay…a must watch!😃

22^nd December Update:

Aradhana is on the phone with her friend and tells her about the trip to Shimla. Her friend is happy for her and tells her to have fun.

Aradhana goes to answer the door and finds Sanjana. Aradhana is happy to see her and Sanjana informs her about the money issue. Aradhana is unhappy with the fact that he asked her for money and promises Sanjana that she will talk to him and becomes thoughtful after she leaves.

She rings him up and asks why he didn't ask her for money. Akshay asks how she came to know and she tells him that Sanjana had come home. Akshay is surprised and Aradhana goes on to tells him that she has some savings and will give him the money. Akshay is happy and Aradhana hangs up before going back to her packing.

The kids come in and Simran pulls a face at her suitcase and starts pulling out her clothes. In reply to Aradhana's protests, Simran shows her a top and says that she will wear what they have brought for her.

Later…

Aradhana is finishing of her packing when she gets a call from Shaelin who tells her that there's a lot of work and he won't be able to make it back until tomorrow morning. Aradhna is disheartened but tells him that it's okay and she'll celebrate her birthday here and go on a holiday at some other time. Shaelin agrees saying that birthday and holidays aren't that important.

They hang up and Aradhna looks sadly at the phone. She turns and is surprised to find Shaelin watching her from the doorway with a smile.

Later…

Aradhana tells Shaelin that Akshay had wanted to book them in to a fancy suite at a big hotel but she refused. Shaelin asks where they are going and Aradhna says that she will give him a clue. She tells him their room number and Shaelin says that this isn't a clue.

Aradhana gives him another about a painting at the end of the staircase. Shaelin gives her a look and asks if she's playing with him and that every hotel has some sort of painting. Aradhana replies that she remembered that painting as he had told her that the lady in the painting looked liked her.

Shaelin realises she's talking about Shimla and becomes annoyed saying that at that time their situation was different but now they have status and wealth and many people recognise him. Aradhana tells him that she had wanted to go to a place where they have memories but if he isn't up to it then she'll ask Akshay to book another hotel. Shaelin apologises and says that they will go wherever she wants to. Aradhana thanks him and they hug.

Morning…

Vrinda is having difficult buttering toast as Nirmila brings Dadu tea. He asks her if Aradhana and Shaelin have reached Shimla yet but Nirmila smiles and tells him not to think about them for a few days as they are on holiday. She adds that it was with a lot of difficulty that she got Aradhana to agree for the break. Vrinda overhears this and starts her usual ranting about Aradhana before calling Sagar and Simran down for breakfast.

She hands over a 100 Rs. Note to a happy Sagar and tells him to have lunch in the Canteen. Nirmila asks whether 100 Rs. Isn't to much for a 13 year old boy but Vrinda is unperturbed.

Aradhana and Shaelin are shown on the road where Aradhana puts up the radio and tells Shaelin that this is her favourite song. Back at the house Simran asks everyone to be quiet and turns up the radio as the RJ wishes Aradhana a very Happy Birthday from Simran, Sagar and Akshay. Aradhana is pleasantly surprised and immediately gets a call from home where she thanks all the kids and Sagar tells her about the money.

Aradhana asks why 100 Rs. As she had made his tiffin. Vrinda loses her smile and Sagar hands around the phone where everyone wishes Aradhana. They hang up and Bharat says that if Aradhana has made Sagar's tiffin then he doesn't need the money and Sagar reluctantly hands it over.

Vrinda bitterly remarks that even though Aradhana is not here, all everyone is talking about is her.

Road…

Shaelin comments that everyone is missing her at home and he can't believe that she had prepared Sagar's tiffin before leaving for her trip. He tells Aradhana that she has become lost in the household tasks. Shaelin gets a call from Nikita and ignores it numerous times. When she persists Shaelin picks up and yells at her that if there is any work then she can handle it herself as he is on a break.

Nikita is annoyed and says that she will handle it herself then.
