Salaam namaste and hello guys...after a long time...I'm posting a Mayur-related topic.

As I am a literature student...I'm right now studying about the various characters in Shakespeare's plays-and each of them have a hamartia i.e a flaw in their character no matter how strong or noble they are. We find the same thing in Nupur.

Well...we all know that Nupur was fuming and every inch of her was enraged by Mayank when she made such a foolish challenge to outshine Mayank in the exams. Well, I personally feel that this is where nupur's hamartia was exposed-she became overpowered by her rage and out of plain fury challenged him. This is where her weakness lies...she does everything on impulse...she gets too much overpowered by her emotions and does not think twice before saying or doing anything. Well...this is my personal point of view and ansolutely my own judgement of her character...you guys have the lberty to contradict my point.

So...do you guys agree??

Yup, nupur is on the impulsive side. She goes by her emotions and does not think about the outcomes n consquences. Goes by her heart and not always her brain. Gunjan is the opposite --she will think and think and think. 😆

I think every MJHT character in MJHT has some flaws -- or hamartia, in literature jargon --- and thats why we can relate to them at some level. 😊

very intelligent post actually!!!!i completely agree..........nupurs basic problem is that she in her rage does things she isnt supposed to do!!first not work on the project just to annoy mayank,and then challenge him to come first!!!but i guess many people aroung us,maybe een our selfs face this problem......anfd its realistic too!!

Yeah, I agree with you.
Nupur is too impulsive and does before she thinks. Its only later that she realizes her mistake..
Well flaws are in everyone and I am glad MJHT brings to us normal, regular characters with their own set of pros and cons.. qualities we can see in us and people around us. Its any day better than too-good-to-be-true saints so many other shows portray people as, especially women.

Really interesting post..

Though i didn't understand much coz i am still in year 9 i don't study much abt shakespeare.But the thing i understoodwa znupur's emotions are alwayz let out from her heart..

do correct me if ia m wrong!!!
