Tanushree to act in Chinese Film

Mallika Sherawat started it. Not the kissing spree in Bollywood but the trend of Indian actors venturing into Chinese cinema. After Mallika Sherawat's role in The Myth, Indian actors like Tanushree Dutta and Arshad Warsi have been approached for a Chinese film. Besides Indian actors, the film will also have a leading Chinese hero. It will be produced by a Chinese production house and is an Indo-Chinese venture. Reports say that Tanushree Dutta plays the role of a glamorous Indian girl in the film. The story is based on the Indo-China cross culture.

Tanushree Dutta said, "Yes, there are discussions on for an international film. But it is too early to talk about it." Tanushree also confirms Arshad Warsi's presence in the film. "I guess it will give me a different kind of an exposure," the Bollywood damsel said. When asked whether Jackie Chan would play the lead role, Tanushree laughs and says, "It is too early to talk about it."

Tanushree added, "It is strange how the media gets the news. When I was on my way to meet the producers for the first time for this film, I was flipping through a publication and I read that I have signed an international film, I was like 'I am just on my way to meet them and the news is already out.'" Tanushree says that the producers were already familiar with her name. "This is because I had won the Miss India pageant," she said.
