Masti galore at ITA Awards
The Indian Telly Awards took place in Mumbai on Saturday. And while the fun on stage was good, there was equal amount of masti and gossip off stage too.
The attraction of the show was when ex lovers Shilpa Shetty and Akshay Kumar also received special awards.
Akshay got an award for ITA Popular Icon 2008. On winning the prize, khiladi Kumar said, "I have been in the film industry for close to 20 years now but no one has given me an award yet. This is the first time I have done television and am already getting an award." We agree with you Akki!
And if Akshay was to get an award, how could ex lover Shilpa Shetty who also debuted on television this year be far behind. She was honoured with the GR8! Achiever Laurel 2008.
And while Shilpa and Akshay have always maintained that they share a good rapport, the two completely avoided each other at the event. Shilpa and Akki were sitting in the same row and quite close to each other. However it seems Twinkle's presence ensured they didn't go beyond sharing the same row!
The highest award of the night went to Balika Vadhu and Avika Gor who plays Anandi got the Best Actress (Jury) Award. All in all her show received 10 awards through the night.
Lastly Natasha Rana Dhara of Ghar Ki Laxmi Betiyaan was late for the show. Natsha was seen telling everyone that she got late because she was in a small accident with her car!
