DCP Amitabh Gupta promises Amitabh Bachchan security that will exceed expectations

When Amitabh Bachchan returns home from Lilavati Hospital, he need not have fears of being mobbed by well-wishers. His namesake, Amitabh Gupta, deputy commissioner of police, Zone XI, has promised that the Kaun Banega Crorepati anchor will have security that is 'umeed se dugna'.

"Hum umeed se dugna denge" Gupta said, referring to the arrangements for Bachchan's security.

Dr Jugal Agarwal, Bachchan's doctor said, "He has responded well to the treatment and will be able to go home soon."

However, the media has reported the star's concerns over the possibility that once he returned home, he would be mobbed by fans. In view of this, the police are keeping themselves ready. "We are yet to receive a request from the Bachchans. We are in a state of preparedness so cops can be sent at a moment's notice," he said.

Sources said, the Bachchans' vehicle would receive police escort on its way to his home and cops would be posted around-the- clock at his residence.

Meanwhile, Bachchan's son Abhishek and his wife Jaya visited the Siddhivinayak temple early on Tuesday morning, offering their thanks for his successful operation. The temple's chief executive officer, Sanjay Bhagwat, said, "There was no request for any special prayers. They prayed and left after collecting prasad."
