I happen to be one of the few ppl enjoying this conflict b/w Mayank-Nupur currently.....yes, I know that's a rare breed😆😆
Anyways, I had a few thoughts on their current situation.....
It has been established that for Mayank, trust is the absolute most important thing....and that was what Nupur betrayed....by lying to him blatantly, taking him for a ride and not telling him earlier. Granted that there was no malice in her heart....she didn't mean for it to become such a big deal.....it started off as a payback thing but blew up much more out of proportion than she ever thought it would.....circumstances played a huge part too....many times when she was about to tell him, someone interrupted them....and ultimately even Gunjan convinced her not to tell him anymore.
But sadly, Mayank obviously didn't have any knowledge of this....and since he is so angry at Nupur right now, he won't let her explain herself either.
What I love the most about this situation and am enjoying the most about it is that there is no clear cut RIGHT or WRONG.
They are both right in their own way! Mayank because he feels betrayed and taken for a ride.....he hates liars. Nupur because she had done more than her share of trying to reach out to him and explain her part....THAT is what's adding depth to their story!
From a storyline point of view, I like how the creatives built this conflict up and the way they're currently handling it with both the characters justified in their behavior.
And at the same time, BECAUSE they are both such passionate characters, albeit in differet ways, we are getting to see THAT projected thru things like the salsa dance as well! Ofcourse Rati-Arjun are just fab actors! All they have to do is look at each other and there is instant chemistry!😉
This conflict b/w the characters is adding to the drama and passion quotient! Things would have been too easy if Mayank had conveniently listened to Nups and resolved the problem there and then....with this way, the drama is building up, we get to see more passionate conflict (thru dance😆)
And ultimately, we get to see their vulnerable sides as well.....like Nupur drowning in her guilt and feeling so bad that Mayank won't listen to her.....and yet still lighting up with happiness in that brief moment where she thinks Mayank forgives her.
And Mayank in his scene with his Mom today (which I haven't seen yet though) where he lets the audience have a window into his psyche in that the hurt runs so deep over Nupur's betrayal of his trust that he is lashing out at his Mom now too.....Obviously she came to matter to him much more than even he seemed to realize, hence the anger at the lie being exposed.
Anyways, drawing my rambling to an end (having made no sense😆), Mayank the gusse waala monkey NEEDS Nups the nautanki drama queen in his life.....and ultimately they'll find their way towards each other....Till then, I'm enjoying the journey!😛
