Well, here are my questions....

Why do you like Harry Potter? It's a unique, very original story. I like how JK Rowling made a whole new world in fiction which actually seems real and possible. It makes HP fans wish fervently that HP magic was real, and some kids under 11 years old even hope (sometimes) that they receive a Hogwarts letter when they turn 11. Who is you favorite HP character? Why? Of course I like the trio a lot, but my fav has to be Albus Dumbledore, because in the beginning of the books, he was such a warm all knowing person to whom anyone could go to if they needed advice. He was like a parent figure in Harry's life other than Sirius, and I really liked how JK developed his character. It was comforting to know that even he, the 'perfect person' did not have a completely clean record when he was younger, because it makes us realize that we can become a 'good' selfless person even if we were a selfish snobby person when younger. I really like his character a lot. What qualities in Harry do you like best? The protectiveness he has towards his loved ones, his courage, and his willingness to fulfill his duty. My favorite "Harry Potter moment" was in Deathly Hallows during Harry's talk with Dumbledore in that strange King's Cross place. Harry had a choice to walk away from all the bloodshed and terror, to a place where he would be united with his parents and Sirius, and a place where there would always be peace and happiness, but he didn't, because he knew no one other than he could defeat Voldemort, and everyone was counting on him. He remembered his duty even when tempted to leave it. Do you like Hagrid? Why or why not? Of course! Hagrid is a very lovable character, and I was praying fervently throughout the 7th book that he would not die, and I was sooooooooo happy that he didn't! I like his character a lot, because he has such a big generous innocent heart, and he always means well, even when he makes many mistakes. You just gotta love his character!😃
  • Your favorite HP book? 3rd book, because Harry learns more about his parents, especially his dad and his friends, after not knowing thoroughly about them for 11 years. Also, this is the book in which Sirius and Remus enter the story, and I like their characters a lot too.
Now general questions:

What's the best thing you like to do? I love writing stories, fanfics, etc...I just love writing fiction of any kind, and creating little worlds of my own.😊 What's you fav. book besides HP? Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen!!!!😃 The best book ever! Why do you like teaching? I love introducing teens to exhilirating epics and literature of long ago, which teach not only good morals, but also may interest them into pursuing other literature which teach History in an interesting way. Did you always want to be a teacher? Actually no; I once wanted to go into law, but when I realized I was not at all a good arguer, I knew it was not the career for me.😆 What are your hobbies? Drawing, Writing, Reading, Cross-Stitching, reading more and more Hindu Epics/Puranas (especially Ramayan and Mahabharat), and baking cakes, muffins, and brownies!
  • What's the craziest thing you ever done? Once, my sister and I visited our cousins, and we had a laughing contest which turned into a maniacal laughing fit none of us could stop. One of us snorted while laughing, and the rest of us would laugh again. Our moms thought we had gone crazy and were high on something, because we just wouldn't stop laughing, and it was over nothing too!😆😆😆
-Mahi Great Questions by the way!

Lalitha - Hi there!

Just read through your replies and I just wanted to ask you this...

Everyone talks about death in general and more so in Harry Potter series and well the author JKR has said it herself that all the characters of the characters are more or less are defined by their attitude towards death...

People have expressed sadness over the death of characters , of specific characters especially ... in the story...

What , I'd like to know is that do you see as death of any of the characters in the book being insignificant , if you do, or if you dont, then why?
Do you think death of someone can be insignificant at all?

Have a good week ahead!

Good question.⭐️
Honestly, I don't think anyone's death in the HP books is insignificant, even Charity Burbage's, the Muggle Study's teacher, who died in the beginning of the Seventh Book. We never heard of her except from Hermione in the 3rd book, who said the Muggle Studies teacher along with the course was "fascinating" (if Burbage was the MS teacher in the 3rd book), but reading the first chapter in Deathly Hallows gave me the chills, because with Ms. Burbage's death, it told us that Voldemort and his Death Eaters would kill anyone to achieve their purpose, even those we thought of as 'insignificant' characters. With Burbage's death, the book told us that there would be a lot of deaths, especially for a lot of the 'significant' characters who we got to love and see develop through books 1-6.
The first death "of the series" was Cedric Diggory's, and at the time, we all may not have realized that half the characters in the series would be annihilated by the end, but I know I, as well as a lot of people I know, were so sad at Cedric's Death, and he was such a minor character, or was he? I mean, he was the only one who beat Harry in a Quidditch Match (though Harry did fall off his broom due to Dementors), and he was the "original" Hogwarts champion in the 4th book, but he did not have much of a significant role, and when his death caused so much tears to fall from HP fans, it tells us that in real life, no death is minor; every death is one person less in the world, one person less who once walked and talked and lived and touched. I guess this answers your second questions as well.😊
