it's a tough decision..ofcourse it's his responsibility as well coz he's the father.for the welfare of the child, they shud get married.but then it will be a loveless marriage as he doesn't love her, only she does.this might cause a huge hindrance in their married life in the long run.he might just look at it as an obligation and not accept her whole-heartedly.it's a life-long commitment.
megha deserves a better life than this.she might choose to be a single parent or get married to someone else who truly loves her and accepts her and also the kid.
these days atleast in western countries single parent concept is becoming common.ppl who are in that situation feel they are better off being single than being married to somebody who doesn't love them and end up staying in a meaningless, loveless relationship.most women work, become financially independent and tare care of themselves well.some ppl move on with their lives and eventually if they find their true love, get married too.
Good points! Yes, if the marriage is loveless then it is indeed not worth marrying the person..! But then he can't marry Veera as she is getting married to Kushan.. So unless he wants to spend his whole life as a bachelor, he would certainly marry at some point. In which case I don't think Megha is a bad choice because she loves him to death and what is more even Vivan really, really likes and trusts her as a friend.. And that to me is a very important criteria for a marriage to succeed - to be the best of friends! As for love that would develop with time (as it often does in arranged marriages) as he does like her to begin with and considers her as his best friend.. And he most certainly owes a responsibility towards the kid.. I for one can never understand these one night stands and in this case both of them were highly irresponsible. Vivan was drunk and Megha also is to blame for allowing that to happen.. But anyways, he needs to face the consequences of his actions and take up the responsibility.. Single parenting is fine in some ways but I honestly think a child needs a mother and a father during his or her growing up years. Death is a different scenario and one does not have control over that but otherwise I do think a mother and a father's love are both necessary for a child especially in the first 10-15 years of their lives..
