"I am Abhimanyu Modi, who is a businessman and also a doctor," said Amit, "Modi is a very intelligent businessman who's very sharp. He has come in to save Sanjeevani from its financial crisis".

His character would not be negative, he said.

He says one of the reasons he took up the role was that he was impressed with his on-screen look.

"Abhimanyu's shown as a well-built man in DMG and that's very fascinating' I am getting back into shape because of that," says Amit.

And does he have a lady love to share that body with?

"Yes, that might be possible and it could even be a love triangle with Riddhima (Sukriti) and Anjali (Sunaina)," he speculated, "but frankly I really don't know. You'll have to keep watching for that."

Amit says at the moment his role will not be a full role. "It all depends on the audience's response," he said, "if they like Abhimanyu then perhaps my character will get extended."

He says the role came to him a while ago and he has already been shooting for it for some six months.

Amit is the second new entry in DMG after Shweta in the past month. Shweta entered as a psychiatric intern for a cameo.
