It was nice hanging around these forums and knowing everyone. As I had already maintained if Sara got eliminated from SRGMP I would quit watching this show as it would loose it's charm and credibility.Therefore I won't be posting in these forums anymore.
But before leaving I want to voice out my discontent with this biased and third grade show.Mods please don't delete this thread. I haven't used any bad language just objective criticism:
Mentors
They are all has beens in music. Aadesh ,a self-proclaimed pakistan-hater, is not wanted by any film-maker anymore. He got replaced by newcomers long time back.Hence, his frustration reflects in his carefully crafted views.Pritam is an international copycat. Don't need to talk much about him.That he shamelessly promotes his own gharana is not hidden. Himesh is self-obssesed egoistic person with his own agendas. Praise him and he'll praise you.Shankar mahadevan well he's the champion of diplomacy. His only claim to fame has been churning out some mushy gushy songs for yash raj films. As a singer his voice only suits 60 year old amitabh bachan. As a mentor, he only promotes those that zee wants to keep.And whenever there's a film star on the show he's sucking him up big time.All the mentors are actually.
Show 's Objectives(if any)
They are not hunting for talented singers. They just want to sell a show in the name of music . Hence, only those contestants who have a dramatic story to tell are made a part of this show. The international singers are only included to raise TRP's but never have they crowned any international singer as the winner despite being talented.
Are they really looking for talent?
If they were looking for talent then people like asma debojit and one-genre singers yahsita would not have been part of this show. How on earth can you declare them better than Sara ??????? Height of injustice to keep these people in the show and eliminate a versatile singer like Sara.
On Sara
I refuse to accept that there's anybody in the remaining lot who's a better singer compared to her. Infact, she's the most versatile of the lot. It has been proved time and time again.But the sad thing is , she was doing great in the past couple of weeks , she outdid the rest by a huge margin during the rock music round so why has this unfair treatment been meated out to her ? Despite giving back to back superb performances , she was denied the sangeet chakra. The mentors always put her down .Even if she sang the best, the mentors never encouraged her the way they encouraged others . If yahsita gave mediocre performance it was declared super duper history but for sara this type of encouragement and adulation was never shown. Her first performance was the highlight of the season but has anybody ever acknowledged that? She sang chand chupa badal like nobody can do even in thousand lives. It was better than the original but did the mentors say that to her ? She has successfully handled the most difficult songs which the others won' dare attempt but has that ever been acknowledged ? Pratibha has breathing problems so why don't the mentors give her negative comments?Why not tell yashita you're one-genre singer? Why is shankar always pulling sara down by saying stuff like you're improving? This under-appreciation undermines his credibility.There are so many hidden agendas being promoted by everyone that nobody seems genuine on this fake show.
Lastly, I wish Sara had a spicy tale to tell or had adopted a sister or had a funny lisp then she must never have been eliminated. Sad she didn't do any dramas in the past six weeks otherwise she would have stayed on.
But I hope her talent doesn't go to waste and that she gets the kind of recognition that she deserves. This field of music is so strange that only people with sob stories get noticed .If you want to success purely on talent than the road is tough for you.
Hopefully, it won't be long before we get to listen to her sweet voice again! But for now, won't be able to watch her anymore.
