Yes, it was a rare co-incidence that she just happened to dial his number....but I don't think it's that far-fetched....some things may have a one in a million probability of happpening, but that it IS still a fair probability.....wrong numbers ARE dialed in real life and while it is obviously romantic to imagine that you would meet the love of your life thru dialling a number accidentally, it is not impossible......Strange things happen when it comes to love....some things can be dismissed as the flighty imaginations of a romantic mind, but that does not mean they are impossible. Now I can understand if some ppl have reservations about how deeply they fell in love over the phone....but it can be chalked up to creative liberties in a fiction soap....

So I guess for you it is the 'highly, highly unlikely' part of Ragvir that bothers you most, while I don't find their situation quite that 'unlikely'.....again, not 100% realistic, but not THAT unlikely either.😊 Cuz frankly then, no sisters exist out there who would marry a mentally challenged man just to get their other sister married either. That is where the fiction/creative liberties of a show come in.....but I'm not going to say I mind that....cuz I really like the Saalekh track as well.....cuz of the treatment....and it is the same for the Ragvir track.....while the basic premise of the beginning of their love was a bit far-fetched, the way it has been developed is very sweet, just my opinion😊

It may seem to some that what they're showing isn't such a big deal and people won't be affected by it... but I'd like to mention that not to long ago in the forum some member had opened up a post (no offense to this member, just using you as an example) that she recd a call from a wrong number/she called a wrong number and she was contemplating whether or not to arouse a convo with this person. Now who knows who this person cud be...
So basically my point is, Ragvir track is not exactly the best message to be sending out... that you can start a convo with any random guy you call, magically fall in love with him, and then realize he's a handsome young guy you know and he loves you too. Because frankly, that's just as likely as a sister marrying a mentally challenged man for her sister.

Now who knows who this person cud be...Wow, that's a little scary.....I hope the girl didn't end up in some sort of trouble.....People should be careful and cautious about this kind of stuff....It's scary that most parents are so clueless about what their kids are doing.

Because frankly, that's just as likely as a sister marrying a mentally challenged man for her sister. I already said that both these things are equally unlikely in some ways.....but the creative liberties come in and it is the TREATMENT which makes the difference....which is why I enjoy BOTH the stories.....as for the Ragvir track, it is not sending out any message.....this is just a show, for god's sake.....that's like saying Saalekh are sending out a message for all women to be as sacrificing as Sadi and marry a mentally challenged man for their sister.....these are all fictitious stories.....they don't have a responsibility to babysit their audiences and teach them what to think.....that is upto the audience to interpret.....cuz it's not like Ragvir's story started and the makers carried a special message saying, "Everyone, follow this story and learn how to fall in love"......A million stories are written everyday, most of them fiction....just because someone may read one that was farfetched and decide to do something similar doesn't mean that that story was 'sending out a message'.....Ragvir and Saalekh are both fictitious soap stories....I think that most shows have a disclaimer in the beginning stating that the show is fiction and doesn't intentionally resemble anything from real life.

I am posting same things again but

Both Saalekh and RagVir story started with a fiction but there r cases where certain things agree, i dont wanna name but then honestly i have seen a story of a frnd who fell in for his "wrong number", and that grl was dusky and someone not of his imagination but still they r together...till today, we frnds were playing cupid , he took few days for his decision after meeting but then he was firm on his decision.... And there is another case too!!

However am not saying it happens in all cases, the basic msg of the show irrespective of the fictionial character's is u need to respect ur family and also ur love, the bond between brothers and sisters r beautifully potrayed and thats something to watch out for.....Also good things needs to be taken as advice, also some mistakes like hiding the truth can lead to trouble can be taken, over all i think this a fiction with some highly sensitive situation which remain realisitic and r delt with beauty thats what shd be taken as an example.... !!

Bidaai is a show which deals with how the society discrimates on the basis of color and it happens , till today and this story may have targetted a situation along with fiction and a pinch of realistic situations along with the importance given to a relationship of brother's ,sister's,husband and Wife and parent's and children thats something to look out for and its the USP of the show!

@chronic- i know about that condition had a project on it last year but then Aalekh's condition is also bit different its about Mental Age and Chronological age, but its a show they wud represent it beautifully, i think Aalekh is one of the most Sane person of Rajvansh family...

@All

Be it RagVir or Saalekh both have their own charm, there r ppl who like both but individually r inclined towards one pair a bit more, and its individual's decision... it goes for me as i like both the pair's but have more liking for RagVir... So am voting for them....
both the lead's r the pillars of the show and it wud be incomplete without them... And also its not a matter of convincing , its about personal opinion and i guess everyone respects it and should respect it!!!

Aww really, Shugs?? That is so cute!! A real life Ragvir! LOL😆.....I don't really know personally of any similar real life experiences myself...but I do have someone in my family for whom love developed mainly by writing letters and talking over the phone....this was mainly after they met once, true....but still....and they make one of the cutest couples I know!

@Anu: Ya i know it, though there were problems at family's but then everything eventually worked out!! Even i had heard a story, a guy who fell in love with the wrong number, not too many but yes 1% cases there r there, if someone judges u and dumps u after meeting for the first time then tht person doesnt deserve u thats what i agree with, but when gradually u know a person and understand that person u wud defo accept him/her!! And best part we were cupid!!

well anyways. when i started this thread, it wasn't my intent to bring up topics regarding how realistic/unrealistic ragvir love story is nor to put forth how "influetial" bidaai may be to the society. those were just comments i made here and there, and i guess one thing led to another, and they became discussions... the reason why i started this thread was cause i was getting really annoyed with the rhona dhona and felt that they took a little too long to show ragvir meet. not that i'd say its the best idea to meet w/ strangers in real life, but we all knew in the show ragvir was gonna meet up, and it was getting kinda' long and stretchy. i mean how long did it take, like 3 months for them to just meet up...? but i don't mind ragvir though. as long as they keep their story interesting, which they've done since the thursday episode, i'm satisfied.
~peace~
