because his side of story is more true and less selfish.
He is not demanding to send his wife to jail to give company or anything. He knows and all of us know that he is not getting out of the prison in his life. So, what do you think his motive is to send legal notices? He is just not happy that she said they are not married.
As far as Monica is concerned, she just doesn't want to be associated with Abu anymore. Since she wants to lead a 'respectful' life, and since she doesn't want people to spit on her face anymore, she is lying.
I don't know Abu would have cared if she had said that she had married him by mistake and wanted to move on in life.

well in her interview with star news she actually gave a hint tht she still have something for the don , more over the don promised her to leave the wrong path for her, i think she is waiting for him , and will use rahul till he comes back , since she needs to settle down in film industry and other stuffs , as she is in a bad shape.
