PLAY IT SAFE:
? Ensure that kids don?t light fire crackers unattended.
? Dispose off burnt fire crackers in water kept in a bucket.
? Keep your face at a distance of at least two feet from the fire cracker while lighting them. Wear goggles if possible while lighting crackers to save the eyes.
? Think of the environment. Too many crackers pollute the air. And please don?t dispose off burning crackers on shrubs and plants
? Keep burn ointments and a bucket of water handy at all times.
? Fire crackers like flower pots, and bombs should be lit from the side, don?t bend over them.
? Wear close fitting cotton clothes, and not flowy synthetic outfits that can catch fire easily.
RAJEEV KHANDELWAL
Cheers Jaipur! Our very own Rajeev Khandelwal is in Jaipur to celebrate the festival of lights.?This is the first time that I have come home after the release of my debut film Aamir, so I am extremely happy. I love the lighting during Diwali. I will be lighting diyas with my family. Celebrating the festival with family is a different feeling altogether. Though everybody is there but I am missing my nephew who is not home this time. I am also planning to burn crackers with my cousins and another nephew of mine.?
SONU SOOD
The moment we mentioned Diwali, his eyes brightened up. He cheerfully said, ?Diwali is indeed very special this year. I am very excited about the festival this year as my family will be coming from Punjab to celebrate it with me. I am also looking forward to meeting my sisters one of whom is coming from the US after a long time. Diwali will be a family affair this year as I will get to spend some quality time with my dear ones. I will also burn a lot of crackers and distribute sweets.?
RAJNIESH DUGGALL
We caught Rajniesh at his home in Delhi. Surrounded by his family Rajniesh was more than happy to be back home. ?Diwali is very special for me this year as I have come home to Delhi during the festival after three years. There is a puja at home and we will be lighting the diyastogether. I am also looking forward to an interesting session of cards and more cards.? But what about crackers? ?I will not burn crackers this year as I have done in the last few years. I have figured it causes a lot of pollution.?
ADAH SHARMA
We know Adah is quite elated these days after getting the much deserved acclaim for her performance in her debut film. She said, ?I think the togetherness of people during festivals is what makes them special in India. I love the lights all around. This Diwali my dad has promised to prepare dinner for me and my mum. I don?t like to burn crackers and it pains me when I see people doing it because it harms the environment. I will walk around the Hill road or the Linking road in Bandra to catch the sight of a beautifully lit up city.?
