The paths leading to the white Roman style mansion was lit with clay diyas, the white mansion it self was decorated like a bride, because today was the festival of the lights, and it was the first Diwali celebration of Mr. Jai Walia and his wife of nine months Mrs. Bani Jai Walia.
Clad in a maroon kurta with golden payam looking handsome, the great businessman Jai Walia paced the marble floor of his living room waiting for his wife to descend so the Laxmi Pooja could start. "Massi your Bahu is taking too long." He complained like small child to his maternal aunt after his parent's death, she was the one who gave comfort to him and his younger sister Jigaysa.
"Chup kar Munna, Bahu did all the work since morning, and don't complain. I know very well you are impatient to see my Bahu, because she makes your jiya go dhak dhak." Massi pulled his cheeks making him blush purposefully. "Massi app bhi na." Jai shook his head. (Tujhe Dekh Dekh Sona) When his eyes caught the ravishing figure descending down the stairs, his breath was caught in his throat leaving him speechless, as he looked at his soulmate in maroon color georgette saree with crush tissue patchwork shoulder design embellished with sequins beads and stone work. His wife looked like newly bride her forehead was adored with small red sindoor bindi and her mang filled with sindoor, while her neck had the mangalsuit, her wrist was full of red glass bangles in the middle of each hand she had the kangan he gave before going to Rohit' s house with Anu's rishta. Her palms were covered with Mehendi that it was applied to her on the festival of Karva Chauth, and the shade was still dark, not fading, and Jai swore each time when he looked at his wife's had the color got darker.
Bani lowered her gaze, and took blessing from Massi, who patted her cheeks. "Always be happy, may next year you be blessed with a beautiful son or beautiful daughter." Making her cheeks match the color of her saree, and not daring to look at her husband once, who was smiling at the motherly affection.
Together Jai and Bani preformed the Laxmi Pooja, while the priest chanted the mantras, and when it was time to sing, Bani sang the arti beautiful. Jai thanked the Gods that Pia had run away from their wedding day with Puskhar, because he was gifted with special person like Bani, who in some ways resembled his mother with good values and simplicity nature.
Bani proceed with the arti thali, and stop toward her husband at last, as she was about to the put the thilak on his forehead he stopped her hand, and taking the thali he gave it to Rano who was standing close to them. He placed his palms on both side of her cheeks, and bended his head, so his forehead was same height as her forehead. When he let go, Bani noticed that her sindoor was on him. Mr. Walia, what did you do? Bani looked at her husband, and went forward to wipe the smeared sindoor. He took her hand and stopped it. "Bani I just applied tilak on my forehead. Rang rang de piya se rand di odi ni. Shaking her head, she gave him the Prasad, which he accepted by opening his mouth and indicating her to feed him. "Jai Puttar, kitna romantic, hai kash mujhse bhi koi pyar karta." Dadi said while having a dreaming look. "Ma mein aur Jigaysa toh hai." Aditya said while hugging his mom from the side. Dadi rolled her eyes. "Tu naahi, Kaash Shahid Kapoor ya Farahan Akthar hota, kitna hot hai woh." Everyone laughs at her comment.
"Bani," Jai called out to his wife. "Ji Mr. Walia" she replied softly. "This is for you," he handed her a red velvet box. She opened the box and it revealed a beautiful antique Kundan sent, which looked like heirloom. "Bani this is for you, I wanted you to have this on this special occasion as it our first Diwali, I should have given it you on our wedding day, but I was just angered by the humiliation that Pia caused me, and I took my anger out on you. I am so sorry." He said with tears in his eyes, she was touch by her husband gesture, and she took his hand in hers. "Mr. Walia, it wasn't your fault it was the circumstances and I never had any complaints with you. I am thankful that you forgave Pia and Pushkar Can you help me with this necklace." She said with a smile. "Bani this necklace was of my mother, and she wanted her Bahu to have it." Taking the necklace out he placed it on her neck. Thanks Mr. Walia, while no one was looking he pecked cheek and whispered "you can thank me later Mrs. Walia", which made her cheeks turn crimson.
Ranveer, Aditya, and Jai lit the firecrackers, Bani stayed away until Ranveer had the ladies the phuljhadi. She was busy watching the sparkles on her phuljhadi, when she felt her husband musclar hand join her from the behind and together they were playing with the phuljhadis. One of his hand went around her bare waist, and he started making soft circles across her waist.
"Mr. Walia, ap kya kar re ho" she whispered into his ears, seeing that Massi and Dadi were looking at them and talking. "Punishing you my dear." Following is wife's gaze and he winked at Massi and Dadi from a distance, who giggled, shook their head saying Badmash.
"What did I do?" She asked not looking at him. "Tormented me, by not coming to me or taking care of your poor husband needs." He said in low whisper. "I was just busy" They let go of the phuljhadi. He faced her. "Just busy, how can you say that, you are a horrible horrible wife." Having scowl on his face, and folding his arms, Bani had tear in her eyes. "I am sorry Mr. Walia" She said with a shaky voice, on the verge of tears. Jai looked at his wife's whose head was bowed, swore under his breath. Taking his wife in an embrace, Bani I didn't mean to scare you, I was just teasing you, you are wonderful very berry sweet, adorable, darling, sexy wife. Now how about we go and celebrate our own diwali upstairs.Hum Tum Ek Kamare Mein Baad ho aur Chabi Khoy Jaye. Mr. Walia, shocking and blushing Bani said, while slapping her husband's hand away. This clothes are making me stuffy, and you will get your beautiful saree all dirty." He winked at her.

Around one am everyone had retired to their respected rooms, Jai carried his wife to their bedroom. "Mr. Walia, I can walk upstairs." "No Bani, your feet will get dirty, I don't know who can steal your shoes, will ask the servants tomorrow." When Bani was sitting down, relaxing her toes, Jai had hid the shoes under the chair.
Slowly he opened the door to their master bedroom; Bani brown eyes grew wide in surprise and excitement, as he put her softly on the ground. There was petals of white, red, and pink roses leading to their king size bed, which was covered with red roses. The room was lit with clay lamps that were burning with oil giving a dim light. Paon chhu lene do phoolon ko inayat , she heard the deep husky voice of her husband, as she walked carefully on not wanting to steps on the soft petals. She lay down on the bed, and closed her eyes, with soft smile playing on her lips, but she was aware of her husband's intese gaze following her.
"Bani", Jai called out softly to her. Hmmm was the only response she gave him "Where is my present?" Bani opened her eyes, and looked at her husband who was looking at her. Present, she biteher lips. He shook his head. It's ok then, I can claim my own present, he winked at her, as he approached her, placing his stole on the nightstand. "No, Mr. Walia I have it, I was just joking." Well its, too late Bani, as he took her wrist and kissed it lightly sending shivers down her spine. Jai, she parted her lips, which was captured within semi-seconds. "I love you Mrs. Bani Jai Walia,"" I love you to Mr. Walia."
Happy First Diwali Mrs. Walia, his hot breath, hit her face, you to Mr. Walllll…her voice was hushed by her husband lips. Together in the nights in the privacy of their bedroom both Mr. and Mrs. Walia celebrated their first diwali as a married couple, in each other embrace, while the moonlights reflected inside the two soul mates room, in distance they could hear the sound of the firecrackers.
