Sonam Kapoor may have been showing off her contagious million watt laughter and wild streak on ramp of late but the youngster has much more to her than sheer beauty.

Sonam has now joined hands with 'Elle' magazine and their cause of spreading breast cancer awareness.

"One of my friend's mother had breast cancer and I have seen what she has gone through. Few women after menopause, tend to get susceptible to breast cancer and it is very important for them to be aware of the issue in order to cure it. As a face of Elle in this campaign I will use my celebrity status to tell women to be progressive and not regressive", said Sonam.

Now we know what makes Anil Kapoor a proud dad... when you have a daughter as understanding and smart as Sonam what else can you ask for?
