I dont understand one thing. This isnt a live show. They could have edited the damn thing out and asked V-R to do the dance all over again - like they did do at the end of the program - and how superbly too!

Couldnt they have avoided all this tamasha?

Dont tell me all that crap about fairness et all.... Big Deal! What we want is the best to win, dont we?

Somehow, the whole thing looks suspiciously staged to me!

Yeah right. How come no one asked for a repeat when Manish dropped his stick in a song, Supriya missed her lift in a song and Rajiv went out of sync in a song?

At this rate, people will keep re doing and re doing on stage until it's absolutely perfect. Buddy, this is why there are REHEARSALS. When you give an exam in school/college and you blank out and forget the answer to an important quetsion- after submitting your paper do you go back and beg to rewrite it???????

Don't be a sore loser for God's sake!

C'mon, there's a difference between missing one odd step and stopping the dance when only half the song is completed.

In yesterday's situation, a repeat could have certainly be considered. Especially when the stakes are so high and this is the semi-finals

It is precisely because these were the semifinals that no stone should have been left unturned by the participants. I honestly think that despite being phenomenal dancers, Rajeshwari dug their grave when she insisted on very difficult steps being given, completely overlooking Varun's fatigue.

They bit off far more than they could chew and that resulted in his blanking out. I am giving an exam analogy again. One of my classmates in school was very brilliant. Always a topper. For our 9th grade Science exam, he was studying studying till the last minute. Hadn't slept all night. He had been keeping awake many nights during that entire exam week. Completely exhausted. Guess what? He actially DOZED off in the middle of the exam and got terible marks because his paper was unfinished.

Whose fault is that? The teachers? Examiners? Or the student's? I was very very sorry to see V-R go and I have utmost respect for this jodi especially after the sporting way in which they left..... but the fact remains that they were overambitious and Varun snapped under the strain.

No amt of repeat would have helped. If not now, they would have gone out in the next round with the amt of pressure Raajeshwari put on him.

I agree. Its nobody's fault but the pair's if they have not completed their performance. The reason can be anything under the sun. Of course, Varun and Raj are the best but let's not take it from the other two - they at least completed their performance. If V-R were given another chance, then it would have been unfair to them and to other contestants who made some sort of technical dance mistakes during their takes.
Lets be spirited like Rajeshwari, we could learn from her. Being a fabulous dancer, winning obviously meant a lot to her and their choreographer. But, i repeat, its nobody else's mistake.
