DOTW: Why did DV fail to gain TRPs?

i think dv fail to gain TRPS coz the channel is new & most of the people didnt know about it secondly the story in the middle is weak thirdly when veer knows that he is shramik his character has change fifthly this serial is based on dharam veer friendship thats why when they are seperate everybody gets dissappointed.sixthly the saagars have not done the promotion.

for the promotion of dv saagars should telecast dv on another channel which is more popular & should aired more promos of dv.

i think there are many reasons for this to have happened...one of the onli reasons that people watched was for RT n MC n VM

Was it because it was a daily?

probably yh, partly because of this because generally people watch all the saas-bahu stuff of weekdays and the historical/mythological and realities on weekends

Do you think if DV was made a weekand show, it would have gained TRPs?

probably yes because there are other weekend mythos that do well

Was it the storyline which was weak?

Yes definately...personally i didnt like the story as much as prc...the sagars made the story drag quite a bit at times like Dharam's phasi track and at other times it was scary coz so much happened in one epi...other than that the story takes a sharp turn suddenly...i realli think the story was weak...the sagars shud have done better...the story has somethink lacking...i think Sagars shud just stick to historical stuff like PRC n Sai Baba rather than periodic fiction like DV

Was it because it was a new channel that people didn't watch it?

yup partly due to this also...the channel wasnt launched in UK til 3 months later...imagine didnt even come in whole of india straight away..did it?...i think if DV was on star,zee or sony things may have been a lil different...

Was 8pm Mon-Thrus a suitable time for DV?

Definately not...that it a prime time slot wen popular shows that alot of people watch come on other channels so i dont think many people would watch DV especially at the beginning because the repeats used to come like 4-5 times a day...then they decreased...8pm wasnt the best time because during skool period lots of students who watch the show miss it due to extra classes/tuition...so they catch the repeat or watch online

What do you think the channel/Sagar's should have done to promote DV?

i dont know abt just promotion but there was a lot that cud have been done.

The channel shud have shown the promos more often and make sure they are recent ones...i have onli ever seen 3-4 different promos of DV

the sagars shud have paid more attention to making the show rather than relying on the lead actors' popularities...the sagars thought the show wud become a hit coz of RT,MC n VM but that wasnt the case...other than that they shud have held more press conferences probably...one in UK next to my house wud be preferable...😆😆😆
