DOTW: Why did DV fail to gain TRPs? - Page 2

ya. i think something was wrong btwn channel & sagars.warna aisa kaise kki baki sab shows k 3-4 repeats hote hai sare din aur DV ka ek bhi repeat nahi????pehle toh ate hi the DV k repeats.Agas baki sab shows k timings fixed hai toh DV k bhi toh fix the na, phir us k timings kaise pehle baar-2 change aur phir ek dum band kar sakte hain??and now this unexpected tooo early end!something is deftly wrong!!😭

Wrong choice of channel, lack of proper promotion, lack of proper attention to the devp of story & possibly due to some tiff betwn the makers & channel. 🤢

I so wish to write my views in this topic.. I hope I get time to edit this post soon.. and can write my points.. it's gonna be long post 😆

The story,the concept was good.The story of 2 brothers,one of them a messiah was interesting.The acting of everyone was good.
I feel it's the fault of both the channel as well as the creative team and the production team.
DV is a show which can be watched by ppl belonging to all age groups but the channel promoted it as a children or youngsters based show in the beginning.Mostly youngsters watched this show that's why the trps were low.
Secondly,the timings were also not good,Ppl mostly watched Dulhann on 8pm that's why they ignored this show which was much better than dulhann.I would hv been glad if they would hv change the timings to 7.30pm b'coz then no other big show is coming on any other channel and the trps would hv been high.
Thirdly,lack of promotion of this show after some months.The promos were not good.In btw,they would stop showing the promos.
These were the faults of the channel.
Here's the long list of mistakes done by sagars themselves.
1.In the beginning,both dharam and veer had equal importance in the show but then slowly,dharam's importance declined and veer's importance increased(I am not bashing rajat nor veer here).This was the reason for low trps.Ppl expected both the heroes to be equally strong and important.
2.Sia's role was interesting,everybody liked her but then she suddenly disappeared for so many months and therefore viewers missed her.When she was brought bak,instead of showing some good romantic scenes btw ds,they showed sia as a vamp b'coz of which many ppl hated her character and wished she shd not hv brought bak.If one of the heroines behaves like a vamp,noone can digest it.
3.Veer shera love story was good but i wsh they shd hv shown some different romantic scenes instead of showing the same old scenes which were shown in prc.(I am not bashing veer shera jodi here)
4.The phasi track which was the most boring track of the show was dragged unnecessarily.Due to which many ppl lost interest in the show.
5.The tracks which were interesting like the second half of kkk track,singhasan track and the messiah track ended very soon.
6.Noone couldn't bear the brothers fighting and hating each other like this.

I must say that sagars ruined this show like anything.I am very upset that this show is ending so soon.

I just can't blame NDTV for closing this show.if it was Sony or some other channel , it wld have been closed long back.......... the storyline is really pathetic......... it is like the story is made just for certain characters in the serial. The show started off so beautifully..... with different characters, each having perfect roles to play..... be it dharam or veer or sia or shera or agni or sakshi or nivriti. The first 2-3 months were also so good........... with the mela scenes, or veer trying to save dharam......it had fun, bravery, sorrow.all emotions....... n so viewers could enjoy everything..........

i think the main reason is timing

see for such type of show weekend is gud & ek baar jab trp gir gayi to sagars ne bahut try nahi kia

I stopped watching it long long back..i guess from the phasi track...i feel from day 1 they wanted to make a serial with Rajat with basically the same set up as PRC..it couldn't be a historical so they planned this up..although the set up was nice (not that gr8) but the serial downslided from the second episode itself when dharam veer broke the moorthi...the story was non existent nyways but it cud have been developed properly...the story was all about other people creating confusions and tensions and misunderstandings between dharam and veer...and they kept falling in their trap..both agni and his father were pathetic villains...everybody was longing to see Rajat-Mughdha chemistry but it was all spoilt bec. they made Mughdha a daku (dacoit) , her get up and action sequences were yuck! and her name "Shera" was not romantic! half of the chemistry was finished there...dharam and sia were nice but later when sia changed, their romantic track was over...... So much focus was put on veer being a shramik ..after discovering his identity, the focus should have been shifted from revolution to veer and dharam's romantic track..something like the kingdom is divided between dharam and veer and their marriage, their rule but nothing like tht happened...we never wanted to watch manohar kahaniyan type story..

with due rrspect to every1's opinion i dnt think that DV's story deserves so much criticism which it is getting.if it was not excellent, it was not bad either.after all we r the same audience who smtms njoy a saas-bahu type serial despits all big bloopers and very bad same stories.Plzzz give me a break.agreed that this b'ful story cld be developed more beautifully but still i'll still say the channel does deserves certain amount of criticism. And for some ppl who left watching DV, i dnt think they shld coment on the whole stpry shown till now. As for story being concentrated on a particular actor, i dnt think any1 has been ignored and every actor of DV is brilliant.The story was this way only.Plz stop unnecessary criticism. Sorry if hurt any1, and despite all this i respect every1's view.

With due respect, I feel people who watched DV till the end obviously liked it whereas people who stopped watching it can explain the shortcomings and reasons for not watching it in a better way..
