hi everyone...

i started watching DMG very recently and i love the show very much. thats why i started from very beginning...however, im disappointed that DMG has many similarities to the successful english serial - Greys Anatomy.

Greys anatomy - revolves around five intern who finish their medicine schools and start their internship in one of the most tough surgical programs in west - Seattle Grace Hospital. The main lead actress of this series falls in love with her co-worker, a resident...she keeps her relationship a secret from everyone...but later comes clean...

the similarities of these two series come from where some charachters portray their role as well as from the medical issues. anyone who loves DMG i think will love this english series...im not promoting this series...but a die hard fan of greys, will find many similarities from this series to DMG.

i just wish the indian cinema could try to take social issues and create series around them. greys anatomy revolves around a woman who has abandonment issues...because her father disappeared when she was 5yrs. her mother try to suicide infront of her when she was 5yrs, and her mother never appreciated her...and later her mother suffers from alzheimers...

im sure in indian society there are several of these issues...i just wonder why they do not address these issues...

DMG is a great show n im hooked to the show...i love armaan and ridzy...

i completely agree with you...Grey's is an awesome show n DMG's good too but sadly i dont think it can ever attain the level that grey has set.

Grey's anatomy involves real medicine .... they actually show surgeries and medical problems unlike DMG in which surgery means only wiping blood with cotton, not to forget doctors who faint at the site of blood!doctors fighting infront of patients and dropping machines on their chests! "senior doctors" who wear their grandma's glasses even after knowing that it cud harm their eyes! its a wonder sanjeevani even has patients with doctors like these...

i really love watching DMG n it is one of my favourite shows but let me be truthful..i'm sick of armaan n riddhima's evergreen romance n muskaan's jungliness! all these things would look better if they had some seriousness in the show too.

i dont mean 2 come off as rude or nething but doctors really aren't like this n i feel if u've taken up a job it's only fair that you deliver it to perfection. The comedy and fun is all good but a little bit of reality never harmed anyone. and it would also help if they showed us things that we didn't really find hard 2 believe.

hey..me too completely agree wid you both..:) well the moment we say something like to improve the story line..or show some reality..u know well..all these so called fans wud come n bicker you wid strong advice.."dont watch the show".."dont live in the past"..."move on"...etc..etc..so its sheer waste to expect a good story line(!!)from these so called creatives yaar!

when It comes to medical cases GA rocks...and I agree DMG cannot match GA on that.... but when it comes to relationships..(dont mind me saying this.. ) GA sucks..... it is all messed up... but DMG is tooo too good at that.... and GA simply cannot match up with DMG... so I watch both the serials and all my needs are fulfilled.....😆

You are absolutely right. Infact, there is no comparison at all between the two.

But you know, there is nothing surprising in the fact that DMG has been copied from GA, because we love aping the west and there are so many other TV shows and movies that have been copied from hollywood or their TV shows.

What GA shows is in touch with reality and what actually happens in an intern's life. It deals with much larger issues and not just the "love story" of the main couple.

These kind of issues can never be shown on indian television. DMG and GA are a world apart, let's accept that.

OMG...i'm soo hooked to grey's anatomy..i've heard alot about it and then i watched one episode like 4 weeks ago and i LOVED it so i got the seasons and started watching it..omg i'm hooked...and i was already interested in medicine but now i think i wanna become a surgeon..lol...i'm soo excited...dmg's a great show too but not from the medical aspect..it's just mostly a comedy, romance, and tragedy...but grey's anatomy actuallly portrays how doctors more over surgeons spend their lives...omg i LOVE baily..i hope i get someone like her in my internship...

so as now that you are loyal fans to both these shows, why dont we try to list down the similar cases in these shows...

im also kind of sick of armaan n ridxy storyline...but i guess a twist is gng to come soon..lets see how it goes.. mean time..lets list down the similar aspects of these two shows...

Yeah guys I fully agree with all of you, and would love to catch up with GA during the holidays as even I love medecine... However we've got to understand a few things...Firstly GA is an American show so obviously the level of learning would be much higher due to facilities as well as money available for all those expenses but DMG is an Indian-based show which has just three sponsers which we have to ask ourselves whether they would agree to spend so much simply on hospital equipement!! Secondly DMG subtitle itself claims " MBBS se hatke, loveology mein atke", which means : Away from the degrees, and into love"... The show revolves more around love, emotions, family drama rather than the profession itself.... And that was how it has been planned from the very start!! So I guess if we love it soo much, we have to accept both sides of the coin... Just watch both shows,,, One makes us ponder and analyse... The other makes us love and feel.... I can go on and on but my home work books are waiting for me!!! lol

hey guys! first of all i wanna thk doldrum for this post and wanna say that i too completly agree. after reading this post i had a thought tht as we all know tht dmg is a copy of grey's then why not the main plot that is :"a woman who has abandonment issues...because her father disappeared when she was 5yrs. her mother try to suicide infront of her when she was 5yrs, and her mother never appreciated her...and later her mother suffers from alzheimers" is also copied! maybe instead of the woman its a man....maybe this fate is arranged for armaan and that is why he dosent like abt his parents!!! just a thought guys tellme wht u think of it!
