Hey
Was thinking about since i was like 2 and to now how much the movies have changed soo much especially in the last few years and even in the industry.
Before what i remeber of movies is that they use to be alot of action in it then eventually love storys became more popular i think anyways and was all about the actors like madhuri, juhi , anil , aamir and in the uk anyways people use to wait for them to come on tv to watch them etc.
Storys use to be simple and very similiar i think with twists and yash raj banner use ot be ahead with the type of movies it made. That was what made romance take off i think along with young stars like aamir khan in Qaymaat se Qayamaat tak and salman khan as prem etc continued with srk who made the evil guy take off as well with daar, baazigar to inventing romance on his own with DDLJ etc.
Nowadays i personally think that firstly movies are so widely avaliable now from tv to internet, even promoting no film is complete with promoting through reality shows etc. The movies are alot more varied now i feel and trying alot more things compared to before where it use to be one genre or another ..one of things maybe for taking bollywood alot wider. Even way the films are made are soo much better now more slick.
I know i have gone on but thought be interesting to discuss something other than gossip😛

Things definitely have changed alright. I love the 90's when Madhuri, Juhi, Srk, Aamir, and Salman ruled Bollywood. They had sweet love stories and melodious songs. We also had more talented actors back then. At that time it was more talent and less style.

Nowadays, it's totally the opposite. Films are definitely more stylish, but have less talented actors. These days it's all about who can wear the shortest skirt. If an actress wears a bikini, her popularity automatically skyrockets. And the music of today isn't bad, but the melodious songs are not that common anymore.

I would like to see some traditional Indian culture going back into Bollywood films. It's becoming too westernized and too flashy.

I actually like the point you made..i never looked at it like this point of view.
Definetly i think thats what else has changed those actors actually had talent nowadays look at the actors who are having hit some of them at tops purely because of their looks.
Like another topic made recently those love storys gone now with the songs to more different types more fast...definetly love the stories back there though varietys good but not in terms that now theres alot more vulgarity in films too.
I like the uk i dont want to see a hollywood type film to be honest ok i dont mind watching films like race and dhoom but i want films like vivah that show asian culture etc that we know😳

I love the movies being made now, theres so much more variety in genres but Bollywood still has so many doors it can open like Sci fi just got introduced and so did animation. What I love the most is that all the actors and actresses can do different roles they aren't stereotyped. See I love Srk in DDLJ as the perfect lover but I love him in Don as a cunning evil person...(if that sounds right..) lol

Variety is always good, but I was just thinking, is it possible to have variety in movies without the actors/actresses wearing skimpy clothes all the time? Realistically people wouldn't do that. There can also be variety without so much western influence in Bollywood films.
