 Kareena Kapoor may be called 'Ekta' in Golmaal Returns and she may be glued to 'saas-bahu' serials on TV but she still isn't Ekta Kapoor fan. That's what Tusshar Kapoor insists who plays Kareena's brother in Golmaal Returns.But Kareena's character seems to be inspired by Ekta Kapoor, isn't it? "Not really. For her it is the serials that are an inspiration, not their makers. In fact she is also called Ekta in the film but again, it doesn't come across as a spoof on Ekta or her serials", protests Tusshar who was clearly unhappy when something like this was done in recently released Money Hai Toh Honey Hai. "Now that came across as a personal attack", says Tusshar in a sad tone, "It was the director's (Ganesh Acharya) prerogative on how he wanted to present things on screen but placing a screaming character in the film and clearly passing her of as Ekta was just unwarranted. I don't have any complains with producer Kumarji (Mangat) though; he is a sweet guy. I have worked with him in One Two Three as well. However, the way Ekta, her work and her working style was targeted in Money Hai Toh Honey Hai; it was indeed in bad taste." Coming back to Kareena Kapoor, Tusshar says, "In Golmaal Returns, Kareena is obsessed with TV serials for sure", smiles Tusshar, "She understands a thing or two about infidelity, thanks to the 'saas-bahu' serials on TV and this impacts her relationship with Ajay Devgan (who plays her husband) also as she believes that he is cheating on him." |
