The truth is regional voting is bane for the winner. i have seen it in Punjab, north east audiences especially. Last year out of the 3 winners, 2 were undeserving(saregama had a good winner, but people were against him as he cmae midway in comp.) But these winners end up far more depressed than the deservcing ones, who get work despite being voted out early. So its a case of winning doe snot have any value now!!

Awensha is good but not magical. Aishwarya's voice quality is far better than Awensha's, it sounds very sweet to ears.

For once the talent won. Aishwarya will go places, she will be on top of the charts.

P.S. Btw Punjab is a small state with very low population compared to the big states that is the reason Mitika is out. Punjabis are less in number and it is very hard for them more populated states such as UP, Maharashtra, they had only one winner due to super human effort on their part, this kind of effort is not substainable and you will not see any Punjabi anymore make to the top.

Ya Sevak..I know what u mean ..I think this was Anwesha's 1st year and she is enjoying all these adulations away from Durga Puja ..actual fun a 14 yr olds do wth friends and families but a friend of mine told me that there was an interview recently with Sanchita ( li'l champ ) where she said that she asked her dad not to go out of Kolkata during durga Puja for concerts as she hasn't seen or enjoyed durga Puja in kolkata for pasr 3 years but her dad said a big NO ...sometimes it's the parents who get carried away by these money and doesn't mind using their kids as money making machines not caring that they will never get this childhood back ....

By the way ..I am sooo happy to learn that Anwesha created the same ambience with ami je tomar as she did in grand finale ....👏👏👏....that song belongs to Anwesha....half a million views in you tube( all 4 links of the same show combined) !!!!!!! ......

Please don't turn this into Aishwarya and Anwesha hate posts ...I have seen it enough ...I love Anwesha and prefer her voice any day than anybody else but I am not going to put down Aishwarya because she a good singer too ....

By the way Anwesha is going places too ...but u keep track of ur favs and that's fine ..but don't turn this into a hate topic ....

No doubt Nihira, Aishwarya, Hema, Harshit, and Anwesha are very talented indeed. I don't think we have dearth of talent in our country. To sing like these five sing, one needs to have the natural talent as well. Very few have natural talent and fewer of them work hard to nurture and take that talent to another level. That's why it appears we don't have enough talent.

btw, would it be called "talent" if everyone was singing like them😉 and, oh...of course...needless to say, I prefer Aishwarya over Anwesha mostly because of what I am seeing in this thread all over again. I used to like them both equally.....not anymore though😊

😕where is the hate in this post? Where did April 2007 put anwesha down in his/her post above😕 If someone prefers aish over anwesha, why does it become a "hate" post then. How come you did not preach this when there were others prefering anwesha over aish? What's good for the goose ain't good for the gander....eh

...and who said she is NOT going places😕 April 2007 merely said "Aiswarya will go places". Why do you have to decipher it as - "anwesah will not go places"??? I feel you are inferring a bit too much from a simple post here. Read your post again and then tell me who's taking a simple post made by an aish fan and turning it into a "hate" post here.

We all have our likings and dislikings and preferences. If one likes both As but prefers one over the other, it really doesn't mean they hate the other. How hard is it to get this simple fact?

I agree with April 2007 totally. For me, both As are awesome but Aish is the one with the magic touch😊 With kids like her, how can one say there is dearth of talent in our country?

I am enjoying great posts out there, pls keep them coming, thanks for responding 😊

Having said this I would comment that not a great degree of vocal training is evident in most of the contestants now a days, one semi classical or tricky number and they start huffing and puffing, this is why likes of Nihira and this girl above become even more prominent.
It takes a lot to reach there, natural talent, lots of hard work and discipline. Now a days any reality TV contestant starts getting offers to sing for a night or concert and paid in ample so they stop riyaz and a downhill course starts. I can cite loads of example who (forget improving) have gone down over time like Ameya date, Vinit etc

Nihira, Hemu, Karu, Amanat, Aishwarya, Anwesha, Abhas all are good examples of great talent in recent yrs.

Between Aishwarya and Anwesha, Aish has sweet voice & sings with soul & emotions which touches my heart. Anwesha is technically good but sounds very mechanical and does not connect with me.

Personal choices. Although enjoyed CU finale.

You nailed it, di! Ditto for moi. I was struggling to explain what exactly it is that doesn't touch me when it comes to Anwesha - this is exactly what it is. She is technically brilliant but Aish puts in the emotions on top of being technically sound. She makes the song come alive😊

Ya ID JI I agree with u about the singers u mentioned ....But Nihira couldn't make it big with such good training and angel like voice ....that is very sad....

Poonam , Nihira , Anwesha , Aishwarya , r great finds in reality shows ..Hope their classical training will help them achieve great success in future ....

But u need something else too to be in limelight that's called luck, proper contacts , good manager etc ....Prime example is Amey Date ....we get info about him thru a friend of ours since II 2 days..we also winessed how he sang in JJWS and then unceremonuiously "dumped" by channel ....we learnt that all these offers for playback singing come with conditons ..u can't sing with any other MDs for a period of 3 years contract ...can't participate in shows and concerts where those MDs r not involved( or without their permission) etc etc etc ....

Amey being the sole bread earner in his family can't leave his full time job as a musical trainer in suresh wadhkar's school and performing in concerts during weekends .....

There may be so many stories other than "they r losing touch" like Amey ..only we don't have access to those stories ...
