thank you all. it is very heartening to note that so many unknown faces but known persons, connected through the modern technology, care for my loss so much. thanks again for all the wonderful messages. i am slowly trying to accept it. the first stage is denial and anger and we are going thru' that. I feel more for my dad who is 76 and who was entirely depending on my mom for all even though he is physically fit, but for his arthritis. and also for my little niece - my only brother's daughter Shruthi who is 2 and was the apple of my mom's eyes. they shared such a close bond and i wish she had lived for 4 more years so shruthi can remember her paatti forever. now her memories of her paatti will fade away in a year or so.
i will be back in USA this sunday. it is a irreplaceable loss and it is going to take a long time to get over it.
