After eight years of tremendous success, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii ends this Friday. We spoke to the actors on the show to know from them what their thoughts were.
Kiran Karmarkar, who plays Om, says he'll miss everything about the show. "It'll be the set that I'll miss the most," he said of the Agarwal family home he acted in since October 2000, "it will hurt me when I see some other show shooting on this set."
"We all have celebrated eight Navratris, eight Ganeshotsavs, eight Diwalis, eight Holis and all the other festivals together for the last eight years on this set, I will miss every moment of it…".
Ali Asgar, who plays Kamal Chachu, said: "through all this time I've shared a very special relationship with each of my co-stars, we all were like a family". "It gave us all a very big break and immense fame," he said.
Jatin Shah, who played the character of Adi on the show added: "It's been 12 years now that I've stayed away from my home and Kahaani is like my family. Whenever I was here on the sets I always thought of myself as being at home. I'll miss all the gaana and masti which we used to do offscreen".
The serial changed the lives of all its stars to a greater extent believes Priya Val aka Aditi. Onscreen, she says she will miss all those scenes which she shot with her co-star Archana (who played Pragati in the show) and with Parvati. "Not to forget, I'll miss Ali ki masti and the way he used to make everyone laugh on the sets", says the girl.
Trishna has always been a very bizarre and funny character and this is what Mita Vashisht will miss the most. "I will miss my character badly… I played a very different type of negative role. It was very interesting and totally independent; I just loved playing Trishna. Apart from that, I'll definitely miss the interaction with the team members and being a part of one of the major shows on television," says Mita.
