Here are his secrets behind achieving and living this beautiful and fit life. On getting your priorities right We live in a time when irrespective of what your job is, you are under pressure 24X7. The hours of the day go by quicker than sand flows out of your hand, and as such everything suffers-your family life, your health and even your work. The only way to reach a balance and deal with this constant pressure is to prioritise every aspect of your life. Whether it's your daily workout, the amount of time you spend with your family or your office work, you need to sit back, analyse and chalk out your top priority and work accordingly.

On relationships When it comes to relationships, the key words are trust and talking to each other. I was lucky to have met my wife, but irrespective of the fact that we have been together for more than a decade, we have constantly worked on our relationship. Relationships, just like your body, need focus and need to be worked on. You'd work your arms and legs with weights in the gym; in a relationship you do the same with trust, confi -dence and communication. And the end of the day, it's all interrelated- your work, your health and your relationship with your partner.
On waiting with patience There are times when you are doing everything right, you have it all worked out, yet nothing seems to be falling in place and this- more often than not-gets to us. But then, life is all about phases after all, and the only thing worth remembering is that a phase of struggle is always followed by a phase of success. Call these simple fundas, but life is not something that comes packaged in a bottle. A happy life has to be worked towards, with focus on every aspect, abs included! But believe me-once you get there, it's all worth it.

' Just weight training isn't the answer. In order to sculpt your body, it has to be a judicious mix of cardio and weights. The ratio differs from body type to body type and also the kind of results you are aiming for. ' Once you start seeing results, don't stick to the same routine. You need to constantly add to your regime and develop it as your body progresses. ' Sleep. It's very important for your body to get proper rest. It needs to recuperate and regain energy. Protein supplements and the likes don't work in the long run. ' You have to eat right. This is perhaps the oldest piece of gym advice ever, but it's also one of the most effective. ' And, finally, the sure shot way to get your six-pack is hitting the gym and working out. There is no supplement/pill or surgery, which is as effective as a good solid workout. |
