We all have noticed how mentors are possessive about their students.
If some one's candidate is mindblowing, superb, extraordinary & fantastic, another is ghee ka ladoo. Specially HR & AS have gone on overdrive.
If they had talwar(sword) in their hand in place of pencil, 100% khun kharaba ho jaye.
In coming weeks we will have manoranjan unlimited as one after another singers will be voted out, HR & AS will then be in a fit of rage, and might pounce on each other.(Gajendra ji we might needs Bouncers!!)
Needless to say they must grow up & learn to gracefully accept defeat,
whatever is the result. Because what ever happens would certainly cast aspersion on forthcoming SRGMPs and the concept of magical mentors.

I think the concept of magical mentors has failed, it has become ego mahayudh, besides the unpopularity of JL resulted in Sharib getting voted out, while Vinit to a certain extent is reaping the fruit of HR's current success. So the very concept has inbuilt problems.
But it was hugely entertaining.

I agree, with all you both. Their duty is to mould them into better singers only. It is good they are protecting them sometimes but always ๐Ÿ˜ก, and intsead of pointing their mistake , covering up, is really bad.
Yesterday I noticed that just to avoid arguments, even bad singing gets 7 points ๐Ÿ˜ก.
I sometimes think I can give better points then them on mentometer. They are so scared of each other now.

Yeah, I totally agree !!! With the free-flowing use of superlatives for every performance, the mentors views are completely meaningless now... HR especially needs a thesaurus, so he can look up more brilliant words to use each week to describe Vineet and Paresh's performances... ๐Ÿ˜† ๐Ÿ˜†

Right you are! HR is highly unoriginal and depressingly consistent. The rest of the mentors are terribly inconsistent! Still, like in most of the Idol shows, its the judges/mentors that make the show interesting. This particular set of Mentors need to get their acts straightened out so that the viewers tune in for the next season!

Going by the massive response which we see on forum it is certain that next season already has huge clintele. I already have wrriten a stuff comparing striking similarity between HR's & Anu Malik's music. I've been keenly following the hindi compositions just like you and I'm of opinion that the only hope now is from A R Rehman, I don't know why Kartik Raja is not focussing on Mumbai.
He is very good . The obvious composer whom I liked a lot was JL, their split has left a vaccum.
ID is very similar to Salil Chaudhary, but not that melodious.
He has very strong influence of classical, but needs to connect more with the masses.

Acutally both of them have been lifting from Pakistan recently. Murder
and sadly Asshiq Banaya. This business is too difficult. If you look to
yourself for inspiration, people accuse you of being boring -- like JL.
Sounds fresh and you are sure to be copying someone else!

At least with a classical basis, ID has the hope to creating some fresh
music.

Even JL had a strange Bengali influence on their music which is strange in
that they are not Bengali! I think it might have been a hangover from
their RD days.

There was one year I think when Anu Malik had more than half of the
chart toppers (1999?) so I think that he must know something.
