Bani lost all the colour of her life the day he left her'she lost all the meaning to her life the day he left her'she didn't want to live this meaningless life'but she had to for the twins and the little life growing inside her'but Bani was tired of living for other people she didn't want to live her life for anyone all she wanted and needed in this life time and the rest was jai and just jai. Bani felt that this whole world'her own people and even god had given her so much pain that she had stooped feeling'her heart, mind and soul were numb to all feelings'and the only time she could ever show her feelings was when she held onto jais photo in the night and cried herself to sleep. But even that came to stop now'all her tears had dried up'now instead she would vacantly stare into space trying to cling onto the memory of his every touch...kiss'caress'they say time is the best healer but when will her time come?

Everyday she goes down and sees the whole family falling apart in front of her eyes and she just couldn't do anything to help them'.she has to keep her own eyes dry form tears and has to wipe the tears of her family but still those tears refuse to stop. This is what you call being helpless thought Bani'when you want to do something but you cant'when you have to contain all your grief inside you and cant tell a soul; when you are dying a new and painful death each day; when you have to be strong when all you want to do is break down and cry; and when the whole world is against you'yet you keeping on living in that world'that's what you call loneliness'loneliness isn't whne you are on your own because you know that there is someone out there you can rely on but being on your own when you know its just you and you have no-one there that is true loneliness'and this word had not become the meaning of banis life.

And with a scream Bani woke up'the same dream that haunted her every minute and every second of her life'jai left her in this dream just like he left her in real life she turned over in bed and placed her hand on his side of the bed and buried her face in his pillow. She inhaled the smell of his cologne and for a second she felt his presence in the room'.she felt like any minute he would come in from the bathroom and sake his wet hair on her face to wake her up'.and when she wouldn't he would then start to nuzzle her neck until she woke up'but that was never going to happen again'he had left her never to come back again.. Bani slowly got up and did her morning routine like a robot trying to avoid going down and facing the family when suddenly the bed room door banged open and the twins came running in. they came and sat on her bad swinging their legs'Bani simply stared at them they were the only living memory of jai she had left'they were jais carbon copy especially atharav who was completely like jai in the looks and personality department.

'mamma?'

'ji beta?'

'jigyasa buwa said that papa is never going to come back to us?'

Bani closed her eyes and tried to hold her tears behind'trust jigyasa not to even spare the kids.

'beta who bhagvanji ke paas chalgeya hain?'

'kyun chelgya? Is it because mein zyaada masti kart a hoon?' atharav asked

'or is kyun ke mein zyaada choclate khaati hoon?' kirshna innocently asked

' if that the reason mummu god pwomise I wont do too much masti'!

'and I wont eat too much chocolate ever again but please bhagvanji se boliye na humare papa ko vaapis bhej de?'

Bani turned around and wiped her tears'how could she explain to two 5 'year olds that their father would never come back'somehow she pulled herself togther and wi[ed her tears and said, 'aisa nahin beta'you know how much papa used to love doing masti with you atharav and krishu you were papa's princess he used to alwys get you chocolate even though I stopped him'who bhagvanji ne une boliya kyun bhagvanji ko unki zaroorath hain?'

'hohhhhhhhhhh kyun?' atharav asked

'kyun ke who itne acche the'aur bhagavanji acche logon ki bohot zaroorath hain'.lekhin apke papa jahan pe bhi hain who apko dekh rahe hain'aur apka miss bhi karte?'
'toh kya hum papa she baat bhi nahi karshakte?' krishu asked

'haan kar sakte hain lekhin raat ko'who hain na aasman mein itne saare tare un me se ek aapke papa hain'rath ko hum milk eke baat karenge teekh hain?'

'pwomise?' they both asked

'god pwomise..' Bani replied and she hugged them tightly and cursed herself inside for lying and hurting her children like this.
